pbRole overview: /b /ppbr/ppThe Product Stewardship Regulatory Compliance Specialist is responsible for ensuring compliance with global chemical and material regulations and managing product stewardship requirements across the product portfolio. The role focuses on substance compliance, regulatory reporting, and safe product composition management throughout the product lifecycle. /ppThis position supports the implementation of regulatory requirements and internal compliance systems, ensuring alignment with applicable global chemical regulations and business requirements. /ppbr/ppThe role requires strong expertise in chemical regulatory frameworks, substance management, product composition tracking, and data-driven compliance systems. /ppbr/ppbKey Accountabilities: /b /ppbr/ppRegulatory Compliance Product Stewardship /pulliEnsure compliance with global chemical and product regulations, including (but not limited to): REACH, RoHS, TSCA, SVHC, SCIP, POPs, PFAS restrictions, EU Waste Framework Directive, Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR), and other applicable chemical control legislation. /liliManage substance compliance data, including hazardous substance tracking, material declarations, and regulatory reporting using compliance databases and digital tools. /liliRespond to internal and external product composition and substance information requests from customers, regulators, and authorities. /liliSupport procurement, RD, and technical teams in identifying and managing restricted substances and enabling safer chemical alternatives. /li /ulpbr/ppTechnical Product Stewardship Expertise /pulliAct as subject matter expert in product stewardship and chemical compliance across the organization. /liliInterpret regulatory requirements and translate them into actionable product composition and compliance requirements. /liliSupport evaluation of material and formulation changes from a regulatory compliance perspective. /liliProvide guidance on chemical hazard classification, restricted substances, and safe product use requirements. /li /ulpbr/ppSystems Data Compliance /pulliSupport implementation and maintenance of product compliance databases and digital substance tracking systems across global sites. /liliEnsure accurate, consistent, and complete product composition data across systems. /liliCollaborate with IT and technical teams to improve data quality, traceability, and regulatory reporting capability. /li /ulpbr/ppCross-Functional Collaboration /pulliWork closely with RD, procurement, manufacturing, quality, regulatory affairs, and supply chain teams to ensure compliance is embedded in product design and sourcing decisions. /liliPartner with global regulatory and stewardship teams to harmonize compliance approaches across regions and business units. /liliEngage with external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies and industry partners, as needed. /li /ulpbr/ppReporting Communication /pulliPrepare compliance reports, dashboards, and documentation related to product stewardship obligations. /liliCommunicate regulatory risks, obligations, and changes to relevant stakeholders. /liliSupport audit readiness and regulatory inspections with accurate documentation and data. /li /ulpbr/ppNetworking / Key Relationships /pulliRegulatory Affairs and Product Stewardship teams /liliRD and formulation teams /liliProcurement and Supply Chain /liliManufacturing and Operations /liliIT / Digital compliance systems teams /liliExternal regulators and industry bodies (as required) /li /ulpbr/ppbMinimum Knowledge Experience Required /b /pulliBachelor’s degree or higher in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Environmental Science, or related discipline. /liliMinimum 5 years of experience in chemical product stewardship, regulatory compliance, or substance management in a chemical, materials, specialty chemicals, or industrial manufacturing environment. /liliStrong knowledge of global chemical regulatory frameworks (REACH, TSCA, RoHS, SCIP, etc.). /liliExperience with product compliance databases, substance tracking systems, or material declaration tools. /liliHigh level of business English required. /li /ulpbr/ppbPreferred Qualifications /b /pulliCertification in chemical safety, regulatory affairs, or environmental compliance. /liliExperience in digital product compliance systems or substance data platforms. /liliFamiliarity with lifecycle chemical risk management and restricted substances programs. /liliUnderstanding of ESG frameworks is a plus but not central to the role. /li /ulpbr/ppbSkills Capabilities /b /pulliStrong knowledge of chemical regulatory frameworks and substance compliance principles. /liliAnalytical skills for interpreting complex regulatory requirements and material data. /liliExperience managing compliance data systems and ensuring data integrity. /liliStrong communication and stakeholder engagement skills. /liliAbility to work across technical and non-technical functions. /liliStructured, detail-oriented, and problem-solving mindset. /li /ul
