We are looking for a Financial Controller who will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity and efficiency of our financial operations in Spain. Based in our Badalona offices, this role will strengthen financial governance and drive continuous improvement across the organisation. The jobholder will oversee accounting activities, financial controls, reporting, budgeting, cost analysis and regulatory compliance. The candidate will ensure the delivery of timely, reliable financial information and maintain strong financial systems and internal controls. The role works closely with the Finance Manager and Corporate Finance Department in the UK and other internal stakeholders, and will coordinate with auditors and external partners when required. This position is primarily office-based. Key Responsibilities • Process supplier and customer invoices., • Prepare and reconcile bank statements., • Set up and maintain supplier accounts., • Maintain the computerised accounting system., • Liaise with auditors., • Contribute to the preparation of financial reports., • Support the month-end closing process., • Evaluate accounting and internal control systems., • Assess the effectiveness of accounting software and databases., • Execute a comprehensive set of controls., • Submit tax returns (mainly VAT)., • Reconcile the balance sheet., • Create and maintain dashboards and financial analysis reports. Skills and Experience • At least 3 years of experience as an accountant or controller., • Experience with accounting software., • Ability to enter and manage all accounting documentation in the system., • Experience providing support to the Finance Manager., • Experience with ERP systems (preferably SAGE)., • Experience in analytical accounting (not essential but recommended)., • Passionate about making an impact, with a strong “can-do” attitude., • Excellent attention to detail., • Reliable, responsible and respectful., • Ambition to achieve results; sense of urgency, perseverance, adaptability to change and ability to push beyond limits., • Team player, collaborative, innovative and execution-oriented., • Initiative to define and meet objectives in a managed change environment., • Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or Economics., • A friendly, collaborative and people-focused working environment., • An international environment, with exposure to Group teams and cross-country collaboration., • A competitive salary package, aligned with experience and market standards., • Annual bonus, linked to individual and/or company performance. xcskxlj, • Career development opportunities within a stable, long-established organisation with a long-term vision.
