As Financial & Accounting Analyst, you will play a key role in the daily financial operations of the company, ensuring accuracy in accounting processes, supporting reporting activities, and contributing to the optimisation of financial systems and cash management. You will: • Manage the full accounting cycle, including daily operations, reconciliations, fixed assets, amortisations, and month-end closing activities., • Support tax compliance processes, ensuring accurate preparation and submission of fiscal obligations for the company., • Contribute to financial reporting, variance analysis, and cash flow forecasting to support business decision-making. What will set you up for success • Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or similar: Your academic background will give you a solid foundation to manage accounting and financial processes with confidence., • Around 2 years of experience in finance or accounting roles: Previous experience in similar positions will help you operate effectively in a dynamic business environment., • Strong Excel skills: Your ability to analyse and structure financial data will be key to producing accurate reporting and insights., • ERP mindset and curiosity: Experience or interest in ERP systems and new module implementation will allow you to contribute to process optimisation initiatives., • Interest in treasury and cash management: A proactive approach to improving cash visibility and forecasting will be highly valuable in this role., • Strong analytical skills: Your ability to interpret financial data and identify deviations will support better decision-making across the organisation., • Good level of English: You will collaborate in an international environment where clear communication is essential. The Role We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Consolidation Accountant to join our Finance team in Barakaldo. Reporting to the Financial Controller for Europe, you will be responsible for the timely and accurate consolidation of financial results across the Group. You will play a key role in ensuring robust financial reporting, compliance with accounting standards, and meeting the requirements of external stakeholders, including auditors and joint venture partners. Working closely with finance teams across multiple countries, you will contribute to delivering high-quality, consistent financial information at Group level. Key Responsibilities • Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial statements for European entities in line with Group and partner accounting policies, • Ensure timely and accurate submission of financial data from local finance teams, • Review and validate reporting packages, investigating variances and ensuring completeness and accuracy, • Maintain consolidation adjustments, including intercompany eliminations and foreign currency translation, • Lead and support statutory reporting processes and coordinate with external auditors for consolidated accounts, • Maintain a strong framework of financial controls, ensuring successful internal and external audit outcomes, • Provide technical accounting guidance to regional teams, including advising on changes in IFRS/GAAP and their impact, • Support M&A activities and finance transformation initiatives, such as system implementations and process improvements, • Contribute to continuous improvement of reporting processes, controls, and systems, • Undertake other responsibilities as required to support the Finance function About You Required: • Degree or professional qualification in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, • Strong understanding of financial consolidation principles and multi-entity reporting, • Excellent technical accounting knowledge (IFRS and/or GAAP), • Fluent English (minimum B2 level), • Advanced Excel skills and strong overall digital proficiency Desirable: • Previous experience as a consolidation accountant, ideally in a multinational or European organisation or within audit, • Experience working with complex group structures and multiple currencies, • Familiarity with financial consolidation systems/tools, • Strong analytical mindset with high attention to detail, • Ability to manage deadlines and work across multiple stakeholders and geographies, • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach Why Join Us?
