We develop the software that enables our aircraft to fly safely and efficiently in all flight phases and equip aircraft avionics systems with on-board performance data. /p /brh3In this role, you will work at the heart of aircraft performance engineering: /h3 /brul /brliLow-Speed Flight Regimes: You will work with "OCTOPUS" (our certified A/C performance software built on Fortran77) and contribute to "Optima", a Python-based simulation backbone preparing the next-generation kernels. /li /brliOn-Board Tools: You will help evolve tools that generate and deliver performance databases embedded within critical avionics functions, like the Flight Management System (FMS). /li /brliFuture Innovation: You will help prepare for future advancements, such as single-pilot operations and optimized flight operations benefiting from new IT systems and computing resources. /li /br /ul /brh3RESPONSIBILITIES /h3 /brul /brliRequirements Capture: Translate internal Airbus end-users’ needs into tangible objectives, software specifications, and user stories. /li /brliSoftware Development Implementation: Implement required software modifications with the support of an experienced subcontracting software development team. /li /brliTesting Verification: Perform software verification testing, including the definition of robust acceptance criteria. /li /brliUser Support: Support internal end-users (Aircraft Performance domain Customer Services) by investigating and resolving identified problems in a timely manner. /li /brliProject Management: Handle administrative and project tasks associated with the software portfolio, including the management of subcontracting activities. /li /brliCross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Flight Physics and Customer Services colleagues to design the tool landscape of the future and grow your business process knowledge. /li /br /ul /brh3SKILLS /h3 /brul /brliEducation: Aeronautical, Industrial, Software Engineering degree or a related discipline. /li /brliTechnical Knowledge: Strong software development skills.
