Role Overview We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Site Director to lead a state-of-the-art 40,000 sqm warehouse in La Bisbal (Tarragona). This fully automated facility features Autostore technology and sorting conveyors for inbound and outbound flows. With an annual outbound capacity exceeding 28 million units, the site picks, packs, and delivers to multiple countries across Southern Europe. Advanced AI tools support labour management, distribution planning, and traceability, making this one of GXO’s most technologically advanced operations. This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for ensuring operational excellence, customer satisfaction, and financial performance, while maintaining compliance with safety and quality standards. Key Responsibilities • Lead all aspects of site operations, including automated warehousing, order fulfilment, and transport execution, • Oversee performance and maintenance of automation systems (AS/RS, robotics, conveyor systems, WMS, TMS), • Ensure seamless coordination between warehouse and transport teams to meet service level agreements (SLAs), • Manage site P&L, budgeting, and resource planning to meet financial and operational goals, • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using data analytics and lean methodologies, • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and labour regulations, • Build and lead a high-performing team with a culture of accountability, innovation, and safety, • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring transparency and satisfaction, • Collaborate with IT, engineering, and transport partners to optimise system performance and delivery efficiency Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field, • 8+ years of experience in logistics or supply chain management, including 3+ years in a senior leadership role, • Proven experience managing automated logistics operations, • Strong knowledge of WMS, TMS, and automation technologies, • Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, • Results-oriented mindset with a focus on operational excellence and innovation, • Fluent in English Pay, Benefits and More GXO is dedicated to attracting top talent, and we recognize and reward it accordingly.
