As a Commodity Manager, you will play a crucial role in our procurement and supply chain community. We are seeking a proactive individual who enjoys asking questions, collaborating with internal customers, and advocating for Procurement. You will be part of the Structures Assemblies, Detail Parts and Materials Commodity within the Space Systems Business Line. In this role, you will need to understand markets, supply chains, and business operations to tackle complex situations. • Supplier selection and negotiations to ensure value for money, • Risk anticipation and management, • Developing structured relationships with key suppliers, fostering innovation, • Contribute to the definition, consolidation, and development of the commodity strategy (market analysis, spend, key suppliers, cost drivers), • Maintain a highly effective worldwide supply base aligned with the Commodity strategy, • Drive the tender and supplier selection process, including generating Selection Reports and associated contracts, • Negotiate agreements and contracts, monitor contract compliance, and manage claims and escalations, • Lead and contribute to Procurement and Value Creation projects to deliver synergies and savings (e.g., Enablement process for raw materials, standard parts), • Collaborate with Engineering on new development projects and modifications, providing strategic, market, and commodity insights for innovative and cost-effective solutions, • Identify and implement savings projects across all areas, • Provide sourcing support to Operations, monitor contract compliance, and manage claims and escalations, • Conduct supplier evaluations, financial analyses, risk management, make or buy analyses, and long-term contract establishment with suppliers, • Develop a solid understanding of commodity trends, including cost drivers, global pricing, market and industry trends, and material lead times to ensure cost-effective supply availability Qualifications • Knowledge and skills in Procurement, Engineering, Services, Project Management, Manufacturing, and Contracting, • Experience in Procurement and Supply Chain is an asset, • Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to persuade, influence, and convince stakeholders, • Proven experience working in a matrix environment with successful stakeholder management, • Ability to anticipate, assess, and mitigate risks, • Strong skills in relationship building, team building, empowering, motivating others, and conflict management, • Knowledge of SAP Additional Information This position offers visibility within Procurement and the functions it interfaces with, such as Program and Engineering.
