You will be expected to be located within this region. /p h3Responsibilities /h3 ul liLead the lifecycle of the product development by reviewing the priorities and goals for the product you are responsible for. /li liCollaborate with cross‑functional teams such as engineering, design, marketing, and sales, to address common challenges across projects, align on priorities, enable informed decisions and keep business execution on track. /li liConduct market research, analyze industry trends, and gather customer feedback to identify opportunities and ensure alignment with Canonical’s overall vision. /li liCommunicate the product vision, status updates, and key decisions to ensure alignment and manage expectations. /li liConduct usability testing, analyze user feedback, and iterate on the product to improve the user experience. /li liCollaborate with marketing, sales, and support teams to develop go‑to‑market strategies, create product documentation, and provide training. /li liContribute to the success of our sales team in winning new opportunities, by reviewing customer feedback and participating in customer meetings. /li /ul h3Qualifications /h3 ul liExceptional academic results at high school and university. /li liPracticed product management experience in technical domains related to the usage and/or management of open source software. /li liSolid knowledge of Industry 4.0, IoT, and edge computing technologies. /li liExcellent writing and presentation skills. /li liCommercial astuteness for pricing and product strategy. /li liUnderstanding of physical compute - servers, networking, storage. /li liUnderstanding of industrial‑specific open source software such as IoT frameworks, OPC UA, EdgeX Foundry, ROS, and industrial automation platforms. /li liUnderstanding of open source infrastructure projects such as Kubernetes and OpenStack. /li liSolid knowledge of Linux and the wider Open Source Software community and understanding of computer architecture, including awareness of Ubuntu offering. /li liPassion to write about technologies and the tech landscape with an insatiable intellectual curiosity, and be passionate about the future of technology. /li liHave a strong sense of ownership with a view that every part of the product’s success is your responsibility. /li liBe a problem solver and have the ability to think out of the box. /li liA strong work ethic, and personal interests aligned with the open source philosophy. /li liVery good communication skills in English, both verbal and written. /li liWillingness to travel up to 4 times a year for internal events. /li /ul h3Benefits /h3 ul liDistributed work environment with twice‑yearly team sprints in person. /li liPersonal learning and development budget of USD 2,000 per year. /li liAnnual compensation review. /li liRecognition rewards. /li liAnnual holiday leave. /liliMaternity and paternity leave. /li liEmployee Assistance Programme. /li liOpportunity to travel to new locations to meet colleagues. /li liPriority Pass, and travel upgrades for long haul company events. /li /ul pCanonical is an equal opportunity employer.
