Omega CRM Consulting is looking for a Senior DevOps & Backend Engineer that would like to collaborate with one of the top global pharmaceutical companies. We are seeking a Senior DevOps & Backend Engineer with hands on Node.js backend development experience to build and run modern, scalable, product oriented platforms on AWS. This role blends cloud infrastructure, CI/CD automation, and operational excellence with the ability to design, build, and support backend services and APIs as part of product delivery. You will work in product aligned, long lived teams in a LeSS inspired environment that values continuous delivery, shared ownership, and reliability built in from day one. The ideal candidate is comfortable operating end to end—improving delivery systems and platform reliability while also contributing directly to backend services that deliver customer value. Key Responsibilities • Design, build, and maintain scalable, secure, reliable cloud native infrastructure on AWS, • Develop and support Node.js backend services and APIs as part of product delivery, • Build and evolve CI/CD pipelines, release automation, and infrastructure workflows to improve delivery speed and quality, • Embed DevOps practices across multiple feature teams to strengthen shared ownership for reliability, performance, and security, • Improve system health through observability, alerting, troubleshooting, and incident response practices, • Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and/or CloudFormation and promote reusable patterns, • Partner with engineering and architecture stakeholders to balance speed, stability, and long term sustainability, • Drive continuous improvement through automation, technical excellence, and feedback driven learning MUSTs Service Requirements • Ability to design and operate cloud systems with strong reliability, security, scalability, and performance fundamentals, • Strong practical knowledge of Linux, networking, and cloud security basics (shift left reliability/security), • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills in high availability production environments, • Ability to collaborate closely with developers to embed operability concerns into everyday delivery, • Strong communication and documentation skills; comfortable coordinating across functions and stakeholders, • Customer oriented mindset with proactivity, continuous improvement, and ability to challenge the status quo constructively, • Solid understanding of quality practices, including agile testing best practices within Scrum teams, • Excellent spoken and written English NICE TO HAVE • AWS certification (Solutions Architect and/or DevOps Engineer), • Experience with multi region deployments, disaster recovery planning, and/or zero downtime blue/green releases, • Strong knowledge of AWS security best practices (IAM, KMS, VPC design) and cloud cost optimization, • On call / incident response experience, including improving alert quality and operational playbooks, • Python development experience, • Experience with AWS Lambda and/or AWS Glue, • Experience designing and supporting microservices architectures and service boundaries, • Familiarity with API design, messaging systems, and event driven architectures (plus frontend awareness: React/Next.js) Required Experience • 5+ years of hands on AWS production experience (including ECS, RDS, CloudFront, S3), • Proven experience deploying and operating containerized workloads (Docker with ECS and/or EKS), • Production experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform and/or CloudFormation), • Proven experience building or maintaining CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, CircleCI, Bitbucket Pipelines), • Hands on experience developing and supporting backend services with Node.js in production, • Experience with monitoring/logging platforms (e.g., Dynatrace, Datadog, CloudWatch) in operational contexts, • Experience working in product centric Agile teams, ideally in multi team or scaled environments, • Experience collaborating in international, distributed, cross functional setups What do We offer • Permanent contract., • Flexible Schedule.
