About the role: As Security Director Tenerife & Mallorca, based in Tenerife, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating and ensuring the effective implementation of physical security and occupational risk prevention standards across the assigned hotels. Acting as the technical security reference, the role covers four hotels in Tenerife and one hotel in Mallorca, requiring occasional travel to Mallorca, and involves leading risk assessments, incident and crisis management, and preventive actions to protect guests, employees, facilities and company assets, while collaborating closely with multiple internal and external stakeholders. What will your key responsibilities be? • Implement security and occupational risk prevention policies, standards and procedures aligned with brand guidelines across all assigned hotels., • Plan, manage and monitor the security budget, including costs and investments., • Act as the main point of contact during critical incidents or crisis situations, supporting operational teams in coordination with Corporate Security., • Develop, maintain and periodically review local security procedures and operational guidelines adapted to each hotel environment., • Investigate security incidents that may pose operational, financial or reputational risk, ensuring proper evidence handling and legal compliance., • Conduct security audits, risk and vulnerability assessments, and follow up on action plans., • Manage contracted security services, including performance monitoring, contractual compliance and audits., • Ensure emergency planning and effective response capabilities, including drills, training initiatives and communication plans., • Coordinate and deliver security awareness and emergency response training for management and employees., • Oversee security technologies (CCTV, access control, alarm and detection systems), from needs definition to deployment, optimization and training., • Act as liaison with public authorities, law enforcement agencies and sector institutions when required., • Promote a transversal security culture across all hotels., • Support executive protection activities and collaborate in crisis management at regional level., • Lead, coordinate and develop security teams or external providers, ensuring adequate coverage, performance and professional development. What are we looking for? • University degree in Engineering, Criminology, Security, Law, Occupational Risk Prevention or similar fields., • Additional training in Corporate Security, Risk Management, Crisis Management or Compliance; ISO certifications are a plus., • More than 10 years of experience in security roles within hotel or resort environments, including at least 3 years managing budgets and teams., • Proven experience in crisis management, business continuity and resilience., • Strong knowledge of risk assessment methodologies, emergency management, executive protection and occupational risk prevention., • Strategic mindset with strong leadership and decision-making skills., • Results-oriented, collaborative and customer-focused approach., • Fluency in Spanish and English; additional languages are an asset., • Clean criminal record and ability to pass required background and suitability checks., • Availability for occasional travel to Mallorca.
