ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY NP Digital is seeking an energetic, passionate, and strategic VP of Business Development, who believes in the power of consultative selling, to help grow our rapidly expanding global business. We are looking for an experienced individual with a proven track record in business development to help NP Digital scale our operations. This person will oversee handling key new business leads on the enterprise level and nurturing these leads from initial point of contact (i.e. RFP, conferences, email introductions, etc.) through to an agreement. Given the nature of these leads, the ideal candidate is very savvy in all forms of digital marketing and can have in-depth and strategic discussions with Director and VP level marketing resources on the client side. The ideal candidate is an expert at asking thoughtful questions that challenge the stakeholder’s point-of-view and add value to their day. You use a deep understanding of customers’ businesses to push their thinking. Finally, you’re a consummate professional. You represent the company well at every stage of the process and consider integrity to be paramount. We strive to always under-promise and over-deliver, and prospects should have realistic expectations set from day one. To be considered, candidates must reside and be eligible to work in Spain and are required to be fluent in Spanish and English. ABOUT THE RESPONSIBILITIES • Successfully conduct sales calls and meetings to understand prospect needs and position NP Digital as a thought leader to help brands grow their digital presence, • Ability to develop, lead and scale a sales team from scratch, • Research and create sales proposals and other forms of follow-up to advance the sales cycle and nurture prospects into customers, • Expert at developing customized fee models and proposals for clients across digital performance media e.g. SEO, SEM, eComm, Paid Social, consultancy (both annualized and project-based opportunities), • Exercise thoughtful persistence with follow-ups to close the deal, • Negotiate (along with the Managing Director) contract terms and SOW language, • Participate in sales training and bring new ideas to the table to improve our process, • Excellent written and verbal skills; a great communicator in every medium, • Natural relationship builder, networker and comfortable engaging with personality types and individuals across all levels of the organization, • Able to ask tough questions and handle the pressure of a sales environment ABOUT YOU • At least +12 years enterprise sales or client services experience within a performance marketing agency (Paid Media, SEO, Content, social media, or Programmatic services), • Proven experience leading a sales team, managing a pipeline, and achieving revenue targets, • Have a solid understanding of how marketing channel strategies work together, including SEO, paid search, social media, mobile, PR, and email, • Outstanding communication skills and the ability to effectively convey what’s most relevant and meaningful for various audiences within the client organization including the C-Suite, marketing team, finance and IT teams, in a clear and understanding way, • Excellent knowledge of search engine criteria / algorithm updates (i.e. Panda, Penguin, Pigeon), • Strong experience with industry standard tools (Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEOMoz, SEMrush, etc.), • Excellent presentation capabilities and preparation/follow through, • Exceptional analytics, project management skills, writing and organizational skills, • Ability to manage and prioritize many clients and deadlines concurrently, while also managing internal and external expectations for workload, • An individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and a passion for building a new department and service offering within an agency, • Ability to communicate technical concepts in a compelling and easy-to-digest manner, • Confidence and charisma in sales or renewal conversations ABOUT YOUR GROWTH As an organization we support your growth and development by investing in your learning to advance your career.
