About the job: For our growing division Automotive in Azuqueca de Henares (Spain) at the earliest possible date we are looking for a: Manufacturing Supervisor Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager your mission will be to to ensure a smooth production process with respect to quality, quantity, costs, delivery deadlines and safety. He is leading at least one of the production teams, interacts with other departments that are involved in the production process and participates in the implementation of preventive and corrective actions. The position is crucial for the plant operations and the major link between the Production Manager and the direct workforce. What will your daily responsibilities include in this role? • Leading and managing a group of Team/Shift Leaders. This includes the management, delegation, coaching and motivating of this group who in turn will then manage the Operators in a shift., • Understanding what motivates people to perform at their best. Listening to people and giving open feedback in an open and positive way to generate commitment and facilitate people development. Recognizes hard work and dedication to excellence, finding opportunities to build community and celebrate success., • Cascading of the information relating the Company and the Operations to the Team Leaders, takes care about the cascading to the People, • Raw material ordering, • Monitoring accuracy of raw material in production, • EHS focused: always having the safety of the employees in mind and foreseeing consequences for the environment; . Monitoring EHS in production area ensuring plans are in place on EHS and these are executed in the teams, • Scheduling work for operators on a daily, weekly and monthly basis- Monthly reporting (scrap, lead variance), • Monitoring 5S and continuous improvement tools in production area and applying the problem solving techniques as needed to manage issues, • Monitoring and reporting of KPIs, • Interaction with maintenance department, • Managing the production area and any related projects to ensure efficiency. Clearly conveys objectives, deadlines and expectations, • Ensure that principles of CIP point are being applied on the shop floor (quick reaction, stop at issues, 3 reals…). Participate and assess some CIP meetings led by the team leader and coach them. Participate to the control room meetings to report his area performance (scrap, labor efficiency, parts produced) and escalate issues that require specific support, • Suggestion of improvement and investment in production area, seeks opportunities to streamline and improve the operations., • Participation in physical inventories, • To ensure the highest quality of the products delivered with the aim to continue to increase customer satisfaction, • Stop the production process if needed regarding the respect of the health and safety of people, in order to prevent problems with the standards compliance and/or if the product quality is compromised., • Definition of training and development plans of team members. What we ask for: • Technical or advanced engineering degree,, • Five years or more experience in senior roles within a production plant; experience in the automotive sector and/or assembly line production is an advantage, • Having participated actively in lean management and Six Sigma projects. Sharing proactively ideas of best practices in continuous improvement. Ideally have worked within an environment where CI tools have been applied or other business tools such as Six Sigma, Lean techniques., • Team management: proven track record of managing direct/indirect labors. Setting them goals, objectives and generating strong team spirit. Experience of developing teams, including training of teams, • Experience in optimizing the effectiveness of working time and schedules for direct workforce., • Experience with lead and other raw materials used., • Being used to work with a strong focus on quality targets and customer satisfaction. Experience managing customer quality requirements and application of the tools needed to meet requirements. Knowledge of ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 norms, • Knowledge of the legislation and application for the working area and EHS, • Business fluent English language., • Proactive communication with colleagues., • IT skills and good knowledge in IT tools.
