We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our engineering team in Madrid, Spain. Main responsibilities: Design and develop EWIS including wire harnesses, cable assemblies, and connector systems compliant with DO-160, SAE AS50881, MIL-DTL-38999, and FAA AC 21-99(0). Perform wire gauge calculations, voltage drop analysis, and current capacity assessments. Select materials, connectors, terminals, and protective components based on environmental and performance requirements. Develop grounding/bonding schemes for electrical safety and EMC compliance. Create harness assembly drawings, wire lists, installation procedures, tooling requirements, and manufacturing documentation. Coordinate wire routing through bulkheads, fairings, and structural members, ensuring proper support, strain relief, bend radius, clearances, and protection from chafing, vibration, and environmental hazards. Support prototype builds and production installations with hands-on guidance; verify proper EWIS component installation. Develop and execute test plans for continuity, insulation resistance, and functional testing; perform acceptance testing, quality inspections, and fault isolation. Create and maintain technical documentation including wiring diagrams, ICDs, installation manuals, work instructions, QC procedures, and parts lists. Coordinate with manufacturing, quality teams, and suppliers to optimize harness producibility, reduce assembly time, and support procurement. Qualifications: Bachelor's in Electrical or Aerospace Engineering (Master's a plus) 3–5 years in EWIS design, wire harness development, or aerospace electrical systems Hands-on experience with assembly, installation, and testing preferred. Strong understanding of electrical wiring principles, wire sizing, circuit protection, and EMC/EMI requirements. Proficiency with electrical CAD tools (e.g. Capital Harness, CATIA Electrical Workbench), familiarity with connector systems, termination techniques, and testing equipment (multimeters, continuity/hipot testers). Knowledge of wire protection methods, composite aircraft EWIS challenges, and aerospace standards (SAE AS50881, FAA AC 21-99(0), DO-160, AS9100/ISO 9001), including lightning and HIRF protection. Analytical, detail-oriented, and effective in cross-functional teams; able to work independently across office and production floor environments. English proficiency required, German a plus.
