• €300 per day - Long Term Contract - Fully Remote Global IT company who specialise in software for the design and engineering domain is looking to hire a Senior Solution Architect for a remote contract role. Top 3 Experience “Must Haves”: - Proven experience designing and building systems, solution, platform, or enterprise architecture within the AWS ecosystem. - Strong knowledge of domain-driven design, API architecture, relational and event-driven data models. - Experience designing, building, or supporting integrations with enterprise HR, finance, or workforce planning systems, such as Workday HCM, Workday Adaptive Planning, or similar platforms. Responsibilities - Lead the design and delivery of a secure orchestration platform for sensitive workforce transformation workflows, partnering with HR and adjacent teams. - Define the end-to-end target architecture spanning frontend applications, backend services, databases, workflow-control services, identity and access, audit, integration adapters, reporting, export, and deployment. - Design the reusable workflow foundation for role permissions, stage gates, approval routing, scenario/version management, change ledger, validation, reporting, exports, and reconciliation. - Define data-isolation and access-control patterns so multiple Business Transformation products can reuse shared technical components while maintaining separate security rules, data models, workflows, user groups, and operating processes. - Establish nonfunctional requirements for scale, availability, recoverability, observability, performance, maintainability, disaster recovery, and support. - Lead technical design reviews, architectural decisions, risk management, engineering standards, and solution documentation. - Provide active technical direction to the Full-Stack Engineers and implementation team, ensuring build decisions align with the approved architecture, security model, and platform roadmap. - Contribute hands-on to technical design, prototypes, implementation patterns, or complex problem-solving when needed. Required Qualifications - 10+ years of enterprise software engineering experience, including 4+ years in systems, solution, platform, or enterprise architecture. Proven experience building scalable solutions within the AWS ecosystem. - Proven experience architecting secure workflow, case-management, planning, or orchestration platforms involving workflow automation and human-in-the-loop processes. - Strong knowledge of domain-driven design, API architecture, relational and event-driven data models, identity and access management, and enterprise integration. - Experience designing systems that handle sensitive employee, financial, legal, or regulated data. - Deep understanding of role-based access control and preferably attribute-based or field-level authorization. - Technical fluency across modern full-stack technologies such as React/TypeScript and enterprise backend services using Python/FastAPI, Java/Spring, Node.Js, .NET, or comparable stacks, with ability to go hands-on when needed. - Experience with cloud architecture, CI/CD, infrastructure patterns, observability, disaster recovery, environment separation, and production support. - Strong communication skills with the ability to translate between business executives, domain teams, security partners, data teams, and engineers. Preferred Qualifications - Experience designing, building, or supporting integrations with enterprise HR, finance, or workforce planning systems, such as Workday HCM, Workday Adaptive Planning, or similar platforms. - Experience with workforce planning, organization design, hierarchical data, scenario/version modeling, restructuring workflows, or highly governed people-transformation processes. - Familiarity with AI-assisted workflow patterns, with a strong understanding of where deterministic rules and human approval must remain authoritative. - Background building solutions for regulated global environments with strict audit and governance requirements.
