Reconciliation Analyst Overview We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Reconciliation Analyst to manage and resolve complex reconciliation processes across multiple data sources—often involving three to five (or more) independent systems. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, an ability to work with large data sets, and deep expertise in identifying discrepancies, ensuring data integrity, and driving process improvements. Key Responsibilities Reconciliation & Analysis • Perform end-to-end reconciliation across up to 5+ disparate data sources, including internal systems, third-party platforms, financial statements, and operational reports., • Investigate and resolve discrepancies to ensure accurate alignment between systems., • Analyze large, complex datasets to identify patterns, inconsistencies, and data quality issues., • Prepare reconciliation summaries, variance analyses, and exception reports for management review., • Maintain detailed audit trails, documentation, and logs of reconciliation steps and outcomes. Process Improvement & Automation • Evaluate current reconciliation workflows and recommend enhancements to improve accuracy and efficiency., • Collaborate with technology teams to develop or refine reconciliation tools, dashboards, data pipelines, or automated processes., • Create and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) for multi-source reconciliation workflows. Cross-Functional Collaboration • Work closely with Finance, Operations, IT, Product, Data, and external partners to obtain missing information and resolve mismatches., • Provide subject-matter expertise on reconciliation methodologies and data structures., • Act as a liaison when escalation is required for systemic or recurring issues. Reporting & Controls • Produce scheduled and ad-hoc reconciliation reports for leadership., • Ensure controls and compliance standards are followed for all reconciliation activities., • Support internal and external audit requests related to reconciliation processes. Required Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Mathematics, Data Analytics, or a related field., • 2–5+ years of experience in reconciliation, data analysis, financial operations, or a similar role., • Demonstrated ability to reconcile high-volume, multi-source data and resolve complex discrepancies., • Strong proficiency in Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, Power Query, etc.)., • Experience with reconciliation tools, BI platforms, or database querying (SQL a strong plus)., • Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills., • Ability to manage tight deadlines while maintaining data integrity. Preferred Qualifications • Experience working with ERP systems, payment processors, billing platforms, or data warehouses., • Familiarity with automation tools (Alteryx, Python scripts, RPA, macros, etc.)., • Knowledge of financial controls, auditing practices, or regulatory requirements relevant to reconciliation., • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex issues to non-technical stakeholders.
