We work on high-impact projects, offering our employees the opportunity to grow both personally and professionally within a dynamic and inclusive culture. If you are passionate about technology and are looking for an environment where you can make a difference, we are looking for you. The Mechanical Engineer (ME) is a key role within the Mechanical Engineering development process, responsible for leading and executing mechanical design activities across assigned projects throughout the full lifecycle, from RFQ/RFI and requirements definition through design release and production support. This role is responsible for defining the mechanical architecture, ensuring compliance with technical requirements, and delivering robust, cost-effective, and manufacturable solutions aligned with project timelines. Main Responsibilities Requirements Engineering Manage the full mechanical requirements lifecycle. Define, analyze, and clarify mechanical requirements with stakeholders. Resolve ambiguities in technical requirements through engineering discussions. Select appropriate materials and components according to mechanical specifications. Ensure implementation of customer and internal requirements before each design freeze milestone. Identify and escalate technical risks to the appropriate stakeholders. Review systemic technical issues impacting the project. Design & Implementation Develop mechanical design solutions aligned with requirements, standards, and internal guidelines. Own and maintain the Mechanical Bill of Materials (BOM). Ensure timely delivery of mechanical outputs (BOMs, simulations, documentation, etc.). Define and coordinate engineering analyses such as FEA, thermal analysis, and design reviews. Ensure cost-optimized design and control deviations from target cost. Support design-to-cost initiatives and contribute to value engineering activities. Participate in concept and design reviews across development phases (DV, PV, production). Collaborate closely with suppliers and system architects to ensure up-to-date technical solutions. Initiate and participate in technical design reviews with internal teams, suppliers, and customers. Support DFMEA activities and cross-functional engineering reviews. Evaluate feasibility of engineering changes and support change management processes. Contribute to continuous improvement of design guidelines and engineering best practices. Review and approve technical drawings ensuring consistency and compliance. Support benchmarking activities and integration of innovative ideas. Assist in reviewing documentation for production part approval processes (PPAP). Gate Review, Problem Solving & Release Track and manage open technical issues and ensure proper resolution. Support problem resolution and root cause analysis activities. Participate in change management processes (engineering changes, requests, and modifications). Ensure mechanical readiness for project gate reviews and releases. Mechanical Verification Support verification activities including DV/PV testing. Review and validate test results and engineering reports. Ensure mitigation of identified design or test failures. Support prototype evaluation and initial sample reviews. Contribute to thermal and system-level analysis in collaboration with cross-functional teams. Key Technical Skills Mechanical design of components and systems. Materials selection and application in engineering design. Thermodynamics and heat transfer principles. Finite Element Analysis (FEA) for structural validation. Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) understanding for design review. Prototyping and validation methodologies. Knowledge of manufacturing processes and industrialization. Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles. Understanding of automation and robotics in industrial environments. Knowledge of automotive or industrial standards (e.g., ISO, IATF, ASPICE, APQP-PPAP). Experience with engineering tools for requirements, configuration, and change management. Soft Skills Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities. Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail. Effective communication skills in multidisciplinary environments. Ability to work in cross-functional and international teams. Strong time management and ability to work under tight deadlines. Adaptability to changing project needs and priorities.
