The Meat Dairy Business Unit of Amcor Flexibles EMEA utilizes sophisticated coating, printing, laminating and specialist conversion technologies across a number of European sites, supplying a range of flexible packaging products to a prestigious, food customer base. /p pThe Operations Manager within our LEZO site is responsible for managing: /p ul liPre-press. /li liProduction. /li liMaintenance. /li liEngineering and CAPEX. /li liWarehouse (indoor logistics). /li /ul h3Main priorities are /h3 ul liCompliance with company/plant policies e procedures. /li liAlignment with plant objectives and customer requirements. /li liFocus on continuous improvement and innovation. /li liWithin Plant Leadership Team, support PGM in the plant management, with a drive for excellence approach. /li /ul h3Job Dimensions Scope /h3 pbProcess: /b transformation of raw materials in end products /p pbComplexity: /b interaction with customers, suppliers, contractors, Amcor corporate (OHSE, RD, Quality, Sales/Commercial, Procurement, Supply Chain, IT) and other AFEMEA plants. /p pbStaff: /b 127 people (8 direct reports) /p pbScope Geographical spread: /b LezoPlant, Amcor plants, Corporate (OHSE, RD, Quality, Sales/Commercial, Procurement, Supply Chain, IT) and other AFEMEA plants. /p h3Principal Accountabilities /h3 ul liDriver of the organization for the management of the safety performance of the plant. /li liTaking an active role in the plant’s safety programs and goals, and spreading safety culture. /li liPromoting Amcor Values within the plant /li liDelivering budget in terms of production volumes, efficiency, waste and all costs components. /li liPromoting, applying, implementing and controlling Capex. /li liRequesting and supporting CI improvement projects. /li liDefining and assigning goals and improvement projects to the CI Manager and line managers focused on competitiveness, efficiency and business continuity. /li liDefining and managing organizational processes and improvements (roles, responsibilities, number of headcounts, shifts, activities), according to company policies and budget. /li liCreating value through best practices sharing with other plants and introduction of new technologies /li liDefining and verifying the correct KPIs to control processes performance. /li liLeading innovation and changes. /li liSupporting PGM and Plant Leadership Team in the plant management. /li liSupporting PGM and HR in industrial relations and disciplinary issues. /li liHeightening own team performances, knowledge and leadership. /li liMaintaining high level of collaborators’ motivation and engagement. /li /ul h3Directs reports of Operations Manager are /h3 ul liMaintenance Manager /li /ul pHe/she is responsible to develop and manage preventive and reactive maintenance for machineries, assets and facilities following legal requirements and supplier instructions. He/she coordinate electrician and mechanical supervisors, organizing jobs respecting safety and production priorities. /p ul liProduction Department managers are responsible for: /li liOHSE performances and improvement plans. /li liCompliance with company/plant policies e procedures. /li liAlignment with plant objectives and customer requirements. /li liGrowth of team performances and knowledge. /li liManagement of changes in production environment. /li liFocus on continuous improvement and innovation. /li liManagement in terms of volume, productivity increases, scrap reductions, internal and external quality claims. /li liValue creation through best practices shared with other plants and introduction of new technologies. /li liManagement of production and department targets. /li /ul h3Qualifications/Requirements /h3 ul liFormal Qualifications and Experience. /li liA minimum of 10 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment and supervision. /li liExperience in packaging is an advantage but not a pre‑requisite for the role. /li liExperience of successfully managing significant change / transformation projects within a manufacturing environment. /li liFirst‑hand experience of Lean and continuous improvement methodologies e.g. Six Sigma, Kaizen etc. /li liDegree in a science, technology or engineering subject preferred, advanced degree advantageous. /li liKnowledge of: ul liProduction machines, tools and related process control equipment. /li liInfrastructure and installations (electric power, gas distribution, HVAC, compressed air,,…). /li liEnergy management, /li liShop floor systems. /li liSafety and environmental regulation (Spain, EU). /li liUse of statistic calculation tools. /li liBasics of finance, /li liIntegrated Quality Assurance Systems (EHS, quality). /li /ul /li /ul pNot a pre‑requisite for the role, but convenient: /p ul liATEX principles and materials. /li liFDA, BRC or any other food safety and hygiene standard. /li liSAP /li /ul h3Specific Skills And Abilities /h3 ul liAlways search team working and coordinated management of the dept. /li liExecute promptly the activities established by the action plans /li liCustomer Orientation (final and internal customer) /li liPromote active communication and keep a positive attitude towards problem solving. /li liHave initiative and be adaptable towards internal and external opportunities and threats. /li liGuarantee the application and observance of AF Lezo Mission, Strategy, Style and Values in team management, assuring coherence and exemplarity of the people in their performance. /li liFluent Spanish, Fluent spoken and written English; other languages advantageous. /li liChange management. /li liStrong leadership coaching skills /li liCulturally sensitive. /li liDrive and energy. /li liHands‑on. /li liAnalytical and structured. /li /ul /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
