Country: Spain THE DIFFERENCE YOU MAKE SCIB is looking for a VICE PRESIDENT – GLOBAL STRUCTURED TRADE FINANCE based out of Boadilla (Madrid) . The area of Structured Trade Finance specializes in developing sophisticated forms of financing to facilitate international trade, particularly those involving the exchange of goods or commodities. Structured Trade is crucial to promote international trade by providing financing and risk mitigation tools, such that businesses may engage in cross‑border transactions with confidence, knowing that the financing structure is tailored to address these complexities and uncertainties inherent in global trade. Our solutions aim to tackle strategic needs of our clients, leveraging on trade flows via mainly a number of products such as Export Prepayments, Borrowing Bases, Inventory Finance, Contract Monetization, Aircraft Pre‑Delivery Payments and Asset as a Service, but also out‑of‑the‑box solutions tailored to special event‑driven situations. We work across industries, with particular relevance in commodities, industrials, trading companies, consumer goods, and asset‑heavy sectors where logistics, storage, and inventory management are critical components of the business model. The new position will be within the Inventory Finance team. The team specializes in Off‑Balance Sheet Inventory Solutions , Borrowing Base Facilities and Secured Lending transactions , providing clients with tailored liquidity solutions tied to real assets and trade flows. Our solutions are designed to optimize working capital, enhance liquidity, support growth, and enable strategic decision‑making such as acquisitions, expansion into new markets, supply chain optimisation and capital efficiency initiatives. Objectives Originate, structure and execute Inventory Finance, Off‑Balance Sheet Inventory Solutions and Secured Lending transactions. Lead end‑to‑end execution processes, including structuring, due diligence, documentation and closing. Develop sector specialization to strengthen structuring capabilities and commercial credibility. Identify structural enhancements to improve capital treatment, risk mitigation and client efficiency. Contribute to product development and innovation in the inventory and asset‑backed financing space. Perform detailed analysis of inventory cycles / logistics flows and storage arrangements / collateral structures and control mechanisms / operational and legal enforceability frameworks. Coordinate internal stakeholders (Risk, Legal, Credit, Middle Office, Compliance, Operations) to ensure timely and robust transaction execution. Interact directly with clients, relationship managers and product partners globally. What You’ll Bring Our people are our greatest strength. Professional Experience 6+ years of relevant professional experience in Inventory Finance, Asset‑Based Lending (ABL), Structured Finance, or other Structured Working Capital Solutions. (Required) Previous experience in banking with strong focus on collateral‑driven structures, trading companies, commodity firms, logistics‑intensive businesses or asset‑heavy corporates will be highly valued. (Preferred) Proven experience in structuring and executing complex asset‑backed transactions and managing transactions end‑to‑end (origination – structuring – execution – monitoring). (Required) Experience in client interaction, deal negotiation and cross‑functional collaboration (risk, legal, operations). (Required) Familiarity with off‑balance sheet structures and multi‑jurisdictional set‑ups. (Required) International transaction exposure is a plus. (Preferred) Education Degree in Finance, Business, Economics or related field, as well as Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Supply Chain, or similar). (Required) MBA (undertaking or finalised) will be a plus. (Preferred) Languages English – mandatory (full professional proficiency). (Required) Spanish would be a plus. (Preferred) Hard Skills In‑depth understanding of Inventory Finance Structures and Supply Chains Solutions and working capital cycles. (Required) Solid structuring, negotiation and execution skills with ability to balance risk and commercial objectives. (Required) A legal background and/or accounting experience (IFRS/US GAAP) will be positively valued. (Required) Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Excel and PowerPoint). (Required) Soft Skills Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Creative team player with commercial mindset and ability to work under tight timelines and with a problem‑solving nature.
