Junior Baker – Hotels & Restaurants Group 5 days – Early Start Kings Cross The Megaro Collection is a privately-owned modern group, established over thirty years ago in King's Cross/St Pancras. We are now looking for a Junior Baker to work alongside Head Baker, supporting the group (Hotels and Restaurants) in preparing fresh bread and viennoiseries. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone at the beginning of their bakery career, who is genuinely interested in developing their skills in bakery and bread production. The Role • Work 5 days/week (flexibility is required), • Support the Head Baker in daily production, • Shadow and learn from the Head Baker to develop strong technical skills, • Assist with preparation of breads, Italian pastries and classic bakery items, • Help maintain high standards of cleanliness, organisation and food safety, • Be confident working independently for a couple of days when required What We Are Looking For • Previous bakery experience is welcome but not essential, • Pastry experience is also suitable, provided there is a genuine interest in bakery, • A strong willingness to learn and develop, • Comfortable with early morning starts, • Organised, reliable and proactive, • Passionate about quality products and craftsmanship, • Looking for long-term growth within the company This role would suit someone ambitious and driven, who is eager to build their career in bakery under the guidance of an experienced Head Baker, with real opportunity to grow and take on more responsibility over time. Working Hours: • Straight shifts up to 48 hours a week, • Flexibility to also work at our Birley Bakery, located in Chelsea Green, SW3 What you will do: • Support the Bakery team in the day-to-day baking operations, • Prepare and bake a variety of high-quality products including breads, viennoiserie and pastries, • Ensure product quality and consistency throughout shifts What are we looking for? • 1-2 years’ experience in a similar role and environment, • Exposure to artisanal baking techniques and production environments

Your average day starts at 6am - an easy commute to West Dulwich is therefore imperative. You start the day baking focaccia, prepping sandwiches for both sites. Prep for lunch service (we make every thing fresh every day, small batches) and run service with a KP. You're out the door at 4pm! Occasional evenings for special events. You must have experience with dough, Italian food and a meat slicer. You must enjoy making simple recipes and following instructions. Our team is friendly and easy going but our standards are high. You will be trained to work alone in the kitchen the quieter breakfast service and in time will take on some busy lunch shifts as well. This is a simple operation but it requires great organisational skills, an ability to see the big picture and a real love for cooking.

We are looking for an experienced dough maker to join our bakery team. Working closely with our Head Baker and consultants, you’ll play a key role in producing and refining our doughs for breads and pastries, supporting the growth and consistency of our production. This is an early start / early finish role, with night or early morning hours expected. You’ll have hands-on experience in dough production within a fast-paced bakery or kitchen environment and take genuine pride in the quality of what you produce. You’ll be cooking in a kitchen that cares about the food it sends out and be working with amazing, fresh produce from some of the best suppliers in the country alongside a well-established and tight-knit team.
