Our Kitchen Assistants/Team Members are responsible for preparing our food offering to the highest quality and standards. Their role is crucial in maintaining a smooth and efficient operation in the kitchen. Opening hours: from 10.00am to 2.00am from Monday to Sunday What you'll do at Pasta Evangelists: - Ensuring that the kitchen is set up and ready for each service with the right amount of prepared Pasta Sauces and other ingredients that ensure the right amount for quick service but does not negatively impact food costs i.e. wastage. Including preparing par levels in the pre-prepared cold delivery fridge. - Wear a full smart clean uniform to the brand standard at all times whilst on shift and protective clothing as required. - Ensure the full Pasta Evangelists Standard is adhered to, thereby ensuring our Pasta and other Products are kept to the highest possible standard for Best product quality to our customer. - To ensure that the kitchen is exceptionally clean and complies with all Health and Safety / Quality and Safety regulations. - To keep an eye on the Availability and Inform the Team leaders and wider team in advance. - Document and keep a record of information on food as appropriate to the company policy and effective date labelling and make sure stock rotation principles (FIFO) are fully adhered to. - Ensure that all par levels are maintained. - Ensure any food wastage is recorded accurately. - Utilise the SOP to maximise the quality and speed of food readiness. - For all equipment i.e. Fridges, Pasta Boiler, Ovens, Microwaves etc ensure that the right temperature records are kept and the correct procedures are followed for safe food handling. - Ensure all equipment is maintained to the SOP standard. E.g. Kitchen management system, oven, fridges, freezers etc. - Preparing and cooking food to the highest of standards and complying with the preparation of all food that meets Pasta Evangelist’s requirements as laid out within “How to Cards”. - Ensure all food is prepared quickly, in the correct order, to the How to Card standard and in line with all SOP’s. - Full Checking deliveries into the Store and reporting any issues to the Team Leader/ Manager. To Ensure that all deliveries are Received & stored appropriately and storage requirements are adhered to. - Full Operating the wash-up area effectively and ensuring any equipment used is thoroughly cleaned. - Full Use correct signage whilst cleaning is taking place. - Full Ensure that all rubbish is disposed of correctly at all times, following the company waste management processes in relation to recycling and adhering to Local Authority requirements. - Reporting of any equipment defects quickly to Team leader or Area Manager. - Full Ensure that all close down kitchen procedures are followed and that the kitchen is always clean and prepared as possible for the next shift. - Full Regularly organise pest checks and report any concerns to the Team leader and higher management. Who are you: - You have knowledge of safe food handling, storage, and preparation techniques to prevent foodborne illnesses (preferable). - You are familiar with basic culinary techniques such as chopping, slicing, dicing, and measuring ingredients. - You have the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively. - You are meticulous and detail-oriented when it comes to food preparation, cleaning, and maintaining kitchen organization. - You have the ability to work well as part of a team, communicate effectively with colleagues, and follow instructions from the Team Leader and/or Area Manager. - You are willing to adapt to changing situations, work schedules, and tasks as required in a dynamic kitchen environment. Overview The All England Lawn Tennis Club (AETLC) is one of the world's most iconic sporting locations serving as a private Members Club during 50 weeks of the year and then, for two weeks, hosting The Championships - the world's premier grass court tennis tournament. The Members Dining Room offers a formal dining room open for lunch six days a week and dinner Monday-Friday evenings. The Club Room is a casual dining experience offering breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea served daily. The Landing Bar is open daily for drinks service. Role Purpose To assist in preparation, cooking and presenatio of food in both Members Dining Room and the Club Room to the highest standards in a clean, tindy, safe and pleasant working environment. To assist in the smooth running of Members Kitchen and support all Members Events external to the Club House with direction from more senior members of the kitchen brigade. We're looking for a confident and enthusiastic chef for a full-time position in our cafe kitchen. The ideal candidate is reliable, organised, proactive, and eager to learn. We would love to work with someone who feels passionate about food - both cooking and eating it. You will need to have a Level 2 food hygiene certificate and good knowledge of HACCP principles, as a minimum requirement, and will understand the importance of following the relevant protocols. We are a small team, so you will be working across all sections of the kitchen, working closely with the head and sous chef. Experience and/or interest in baking is a plus! During our busy weekend services, you will be expected to support either the head or sous chef position, ensuring dishes are leaving the kitchen in a timely manner, and - most importantly - are of consistently high quality. The cafe is a lovely environment to work in, with a friendly team, and the benefit of daytime-only shifts. Top quality coffee and food is available on shift, and we value the creative input of all employees, so there are plenty of opportunities to get involved in menu development. Shift patterns will be subject to change, but minimum three and a half weekday, and one weekend shifts are guaranteed and expected (approx. 38 hours) The role includes, but is not limited to: - Food Preparation: Prepare a variety of dishes, elements of dishes, and baked goods, as per given recipes, focusing on quality and consistency. - Food Presentation: Plate/finish dishes with a close eye on maintaining strong and consistent presentation. - Stock Rotation: Organise orders, maintain accurate stock rotation to ensure minimal waste. - Kitchen Operation: Uphold high standards of cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen, ensuring food safety and hygiene protocols are followed.
