Northern Cleaning is seeking reliable and hardworking cleaning operatives for temporary student accommodation cleaning roles over a 2–3 month period. The primary responsibilities will include maintaining a high standard of cleanliness in student rooms, kitchens, bathrooms, communal areas, and shared spaces. This position is ideal for individuals who are practical, dependable, and capable of working effectively within a team during peak cleaning periods.
There is a potential opportunity for 1–2 temporary staff members to transition into a part-time permanent role upon completion of the temporary contract, contingent on performance, reliability, and future work availability.
Main Duties:
- Cleaning student bedrooms, kitchens, bathrooms, hallways, and communal areas
- Performing deep cleaning tasks after tenants have moved out
- Dusting, vacuuming, mopping, wiping surfaces, and sanitising areas
- Removing rubbish and ensuring areas remain tidy
- Reporting any damage, maintenance issues, or missing items
- Working efficiently to meet cleaning deadlines
- Adhering to company standards and health & safety requirements
Requirements:
- Previous cleaning experience is preferred but not essential
- Must be reliable, punctual, and hardworking
- Possess good attention to detail
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexible with working days and hours during busy periods
