QA Manager / Assistant site manager – Fireproofing & Cladding We are currently seeking an experienced QA Manager / Assistant Site Manager to join our team, specialising in remediation (fireproofing & drylining). This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in maintaining quality, site management, compliance, and safety on one project. Candidates must be driven in ensuring the highest quality is achieved as well as looking for personal progression into higher roles within SDP. Projects will be based in southeast London, with an immediate or near-term start available. Key Responsibilities: • Implement, and maintain Quality Assurance procedures and inspection regimes., • Ensure all works comply with current building regulations, fire safety standards, and industry best practice., • Conduct site inspections and audits for firestopping, fire protection and drylining., • Review and approve ITPs, RAMS, and quality documentation., • Identify non-conformances and oversee corrective actions., • Work closely with Site Managers, Project Managers, and subcontractors to uphold quality standards., • Liaise with clients, consultants, and regulatory bodies as required., • Maintain accurate QA records and handover documentation., • Interact with residents on a daily basis., • Ability to prepare and present reports., • Assist in managing daily site operations, including site set-up and handover processes., • Health & Safety policies and procedures., • Monitor daily productivity on site., • Maintain the daily site diary., • Assist with checking and preparing site reports, designs, and drawings., • Oversee and update quality information-based trackers (RFI, non-conformance, action list etc)., • Close out consultant inspection reports. Key Requirements: • Proven experience in a QA role within construction, ideally focused on fireproofing, fire stopping, drylining, or cladding., • Awareness of relevant fire safety regulations and compliance standards (Training will be provided)., • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills., • Confident communicator with the ability to work collaboratively across teams., • Relevant construction or quality qualifications would be advantageous., • SMSTS / SSSTS, Level 4 NVQ., First aid (3 day)., • Ability to read and interpret site drawings, details & specifications., • Competence of Word/Excel for maintaining documentation. Package: • We are open to candidates on either a salary or day-rate basis, depending on experience.
