DPD BUILDERS LTD is seeking an experienced and organised Construction Project Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating and overseeing construction projects from initial planning through to completion, ensuring that works are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Plan, manage and oversee construction projects from commencement through to completion.
Prepare and monitor project budgets, timescales and work schedules based on project and client requirements.
Coordinate project activities with clients, architects, surveyors, contractors, subcontractors and suppliers.
Brief and coordinate project teams, contractors, suppliers and site personnel.
Arrange and monitor the delivery of construction materials and equipment to project sites.
Supervise and coordinate site staff and subcontractors where required.
Regularly inspect construction sites and monitor the progress and quality of works.
Ensure works comply with applicable building regulations, contractual requirements and health and safety standards.
Identify defects, delays and other project issues and arrange appropriate corrective action.
Monitor project expenditure and ensure projects remain within agreed budgets.
Maintain accurate records of project progress, costs and key milestones.
Prepare progress reports and provide updates to management, clients and other relevant parties.
Assemble and maintain information required for project accounts and invoicing.
Resolve operational and construction-related issues arising during the course of projects.
Ensure projects are completed within agreed deadlines and handed over to the required standard.
Skills, Qualifications and Experience
Applicants should have relevant experience in construction project management or a closely related construction role, with a good understanding of construction processes, project planning, site operations, budgeting and health and safety requirements.
A degree or relevant qualification in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Building, Quantity Surveying or a related discipline would be advantageous. Applicants with substantial relevant professional or construction management experience will also be considered.
The successful candidate should have strong organisational, communication, leadership and problem-solving skills and be capable of coordinating contractors, suppliers and site personnel while managing project budgets and deadlines.
