The Company is based in Macclesfield Cheshire and the role involves taking sole responsibility of all aspects of the financial accounting, statutory reporting and tax function for two small listed PLC mineral exploration companies, together with their local and international subsidiaries and branches.
The successful candidate will be proactive and will be given the opportunity to expand their role within the Group.
The ideal candidate will have proven experience in a similar role, ideally in a SME and PLC hands-on environment and should ideally have:
A strong professional foundation, being a Qualified Member of an Accountancy Body or holding an equivalent qualification with at least 4-5 years of post-qualification experience (10 years’ experience total preferred).
Excellent communication, analytical, and decision-making skills, combined with a high level of integrity and motivation, with a proactive, forward-thinking approach.
Experience with international, multi-currency foreign exchange accounting, including IFRS and tax.
Should be familiar with consolidations of international subsidiaries and preparation of statutory accounts.
A proven track record of managing complex financial projects and ensuring regulatory compliance.
Demonstrated success in process improvement and change management.
