Hair Assistant – Temporary, Ad Hoc November and December | £14 per hour We’re looking for a friendly, reliable and capable Hair Assistant to join our bespoke salon team during November and December. You’ll help keep the salon running smoothly and create a warm, welcoming experience for our clients. Duties will include: • Shampooing clients and carrying out blow-dries, • Greeting clients and helping them feel at home, • Keeping the salon clean, tidy and organised, • Preparing and setting up work areas, • Supporting the stylist during appointments, • Assisting with the removal of hair extensions Blow-drying experience is essential. Experience with hair extensions is welcome, but not required—we’re happy to teach the right person. The role is ad hoc, with varied hours on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. Hair Stylist About the Role: We are looking for a enthusiastic and reliable Hair Stylist / Salon Assistant to join our salon team. You will be providing high-quality hair care services (including hair washing and blow-drying) while offering hands-on support to senior stylists. When you are not directly servicing clients, you will play an active role in keeping the salon running smoothly by assisting with general daily operations and supporting team members. Key Responsibilities: Provide professional hair washing, rinsing, and basic blow-drying services to clients. Assist senior stylists with chemical services (color application, foil preparation, washing out treatments). Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of the salon, wash stations, and work areas. Assist with salon daily operations during downtime (e.g., towel management, product restock, client greeting, and sweeping). Work closely with the team to ensure an exceptional experience for all clients. Requirements: Prior salon experience or hair styling training preferred. Proactive, positive attitude and a strong willingness to help out wherever needed. Great communication and customer service skills. Strong team spirit and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
