Pay: £14.80 per hour
At Sourdough Sophia, we are passionate about quality, seasonality, and making beautiful food with care. We are looking for a Junior Chef to join our kitchen team and support the production of our savoury offering, helping us maintain the high standards we are known for across the business.

The role
As a Junior Chef, you will support the preparation and production of our savoury items, ensuring consistency, quality, and excellent food safety standards at all times. You will work closely with the wider kitchen team to help deliver products that are fresh, well-executed, and aligned with the Sourdough Sophia standard.
Responsibilities
Assist with the preparation and production of savoury items across the kitchen
Support day-to-day mise en place and service preparation
Maintain consistency, quality, and presentation across all products
Follow recipes, specifications, and kitchen systems accurately
Ensure high standards of cleanliness, organisation, and food hygiene
Help with stock rotation, labelling, storage, and waste control
Work collaboratively with the team to keep production smooth and efficient
Support with deliveries, set-up, and general kitchen tasks as needed
What we are looking for
Some previous kitchen or food preparation experience preferred
Interest in savoury food, bakery production, and quality ingredients
A positive attitude and willingness to learn
Good organisation and attention to detail
Ability to work well in a busy team environment
Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic
