We’re looking for a Floor Manager to join our talented team at The Goat Chelsea, As a member of the team, you are the personality behind the venue. You'll inject your positive energy into every moment and provide a speedy service to ensure our renowned venue delivers operational excellence. You’ll work closely with your team to create a welcoming and friendly atmosphere our guests will love.
We’re looking for a bartender capable of cocktails and signature cocktails, working mainly in our Speakeasy bar as well as in the restaurant or on the bar in our private function room. We are a small team so looking for somebody highly capable, both on the floor and on the bar. Able to do both dispense and bar service, and to open/close the bar. We are a small young team and looking for somebody who is equally as passionate about the venue as we are. You will be able to have creative input on our special cocktails, and we are shortly changing our drinks menu so you will be fully trained on wines and cocktails. Approx 30-40 hours a week, though some weeks may be quieter/busier than others.

What we are looking for · Experience as a chef in a quality driven operation is essential, although full training on all of our produce, where it comes from and the cooking technique will be provided pre-opening. · Previous experience in opening a restaurant is desirable but not essential. · A calm approach to management is what we are looking for not a big ego. · We need someone that can fill in for the head chef when he is not there and contribute to the development of the menu, as we will be evolving it quickly. · You must have strong ambition to learn and develop within a premium driven restaurant & speakeasy operation. · An excellent attitude is required, openings require patience and commitment, and this will be rewarded with growth and progression in what will be a rapidly expanding group. · The ability to demonstrate personal ownership of tasks to ensure completion to achieve required results. · To be a confident communicator and to be easily approachable across all levels. · To be an effective part of the team helping those around you and having a positive attitude

Duties and Responsibilities - Confidently run a section, managing the needs of multiple tables at once. - Take accurate food and drink orders and ensure they are delivered up to standard and as guests have asked. - Be available and friendly to all guests’ needs, from when you first greet them at the door, to when the bill is dropped at the table, and all else in between. - Learn and remember details about the menu, and be able to describe and recommend dishes and cocktails to guests accurately and enticingly. - Anticipate what your service requires, from setting up tables for their next course, to offering a guest a new drink before they have to ask. - Assist your colleagues in ensuring the service runs smoothly, from setting up tables for next guests, to polishing cutlery and glasses when you are not busy. - Lead, train, and develop the more junior members of the team. Skills and qualifications - A minimum of 1 year experience as a waiter/waitress. - Interest in food, wine, and cocktails, with the desire to learn more. - Have a positive attitude and ability to work well under pressure. - Expertise in organisation, time management and ability to multitask.
