Fallow was founded by three individuals in May 2019, two chefs Jack Croft and William Murray, and career hospitality entrepreneur James Robson. We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Commis Waiter to join our team at Fallow. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone starting their career in hospitality who is eager to learn and grow within a fast-paced, high-quality restaurant environment. As a Commis Waiter, you will support the front-of-house team in delivering outstanding service and ensuring every guest enjoys a memorable dining experience. Key responsibilities: • Act as the link between the kitchen and restaurant, ensuring clear and efficient communication throughout service., • Coordinate the flow of dishes from the kitchen to the dining room, ensuring food is delivered accurately and efficiently., • Check plates for correct presentation, garnishing, portioning and quality before they leave the pass., • Ensure dishes are complete and match the correct table and order., • Communicate with chefs and waitstaff to maintain smooth service and appropriate timing., • Monitor the pass and prioritise dishes during busy periods to help maintain an efficient service flow., • Identify and communicate any issues with food, orders or service promptly., • Assist the kitchen and restaurant teams wherever required during service., • Keep the pass and expediting area clean, organised and fully prepared throughout service., • Maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness and food safety., • Develop a strong understanding of the menu and dishes to confidently support both kitchen and service teams., • Follow all company policies, health and safety procedures and food hygiene standards. About you: • Ideally experienced in a fast-paced restaurant., • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and able to remain calm and focused during busy services., • Highly organised, with excellent attention to detail., • Passionate about food, hospitality and delivering an excellent guest experience., • A team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic., • Able to prioritise tasks and manage multiple demands during service., • Experience using Toast or a similar restaurant POS system is desirable, but not essential., • Confident working on the pass or eager to learn the skills required to become an effective Expeditor. Description We are looking for a Part Time Front of House Team Member who is friendly, energetic, willing to learn, hardworking and brings a good sense of humour to a friendly professional team to deliver the best customer service experience. Experience isn’t necessary but is always welcome. This role requires fixed working shifts: Mon to Fri 11:30am - 2pm or 12pm - 2:30 pm for a total of 12.5 hrs per week.
