  We are looking for an experienced and reliable mechanic to join our team at a busy car wash. The ideal candidate must be a hard-working individual with good mechanical knowledge and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. In this role, you will fabricate, assemble, and finish a variety of sheet metal parts, contributing directly to the quality and reliability of their products. Key Responsibilities • Measuring parts and carrying out general inspection during manufacture, • Working with aluminium, mild steel, and stainless steel, • MIG/TIG welding, • Operating brake press and hydraulic press machinery, • Assembly work, including spot welding, • Grinding, deburring, and drilling, • Proven experience as a Sheet Metal Worker or similar, ideally within automotive or aerospace, • Strong mechanical understanding and confidence working with metal materials, • Good awareness of safety procedures in a manufacturing environment, • Monday–Thursday: 8:00am – 4:00pm (overtime available at time and a third), • Friday: 6:00am – 2:00pm, • No weekend work, • £18.00–£20.00 per hour, depending on experience, • Company pension scheme, • 28 days holiday including bank holidays, • Christmas shutdown, • Company events, • Uniform provided

  Mechanical Estimator – £350–£400/day | Rayleigh, Essex | Full-Time Contract We’re looking to bring in a Mechanical Estimator to support a growing pipeline of rail and infrastructure projects for one of our clients. This is a full-time contract role where you’ll be responsible for pricing mechanical packages from design stage through to tender submission. This isn’t a role where you’re just handed numbers to plug in, you’ll be expected to: • Produce accurate take-offs directly from drawings, • Build detailed bills of quantities, • Interpret specifications, ITTs, and technical documentation, • Consider installation, sequencing, and programme, • Engage with subcontractors for pricing and input You’ll work closely with a hands-on Director and operational team, who will support on labour allowances and buildability — so you’re not working in isolation. What we’re looking for: • Strong experience pricing mechanical packages, • Proven ability with take-offs from drawings, • Solid understanding of specifications and delivery, • Experience working with subcontractors, • Rail / infrastructure project exposure, • Experience using Ensign, • Basic understanding of electrical interfaces Rayleigh-based (some flexibility £350–£400/day Travel and expenses paid Full-time contract If you’re currently doing the work but not getting the input or ownership you should be — this is worth a conversation.
