We are looking for Low Voltage or High Voltage Electrical Construction Fitters to join our team in Southern England! This is an excellent opportunity where you will be working in a team responsible for constructing electrical apparatus within substations on the electricity distribution network from 11kV up to 132kV. Key responsibilities will include: - Safe delivery of construction projects in live electricity substation environments in line with operational safety rules and safety legislation. This will also include emergency response to fault scenarios. - Installing and commissioning new CT Metering apparatus. - Delivering great customer service when speaking with our customers and keeping them updated. What do I need? To be considered for this role, we would love you to have: - Knowledge of the electricity distribution network and experience of working in live electricity substation environments from 11kV - 132kV. - Previous experience will include working on DC battery systems, internal panel wiring modification, multicore cable terminating and glanding, wiring circuit breakers, CT's/VT's to marshalling kiosks and control panels, AC/DC wiring and replacing 33kV outdoor circuit breakers and isolators. - A high regard for safety (especially on construction sites), comprehensive understanding of CDM regulations and strong customer service skills - Previous electricity network operational authorisations would be extremely beneficial as would training and qualifications in scaffold, telehandler, furzeweld, working at heights, confined space, asbestos, COSHH, Loler and SMSTS.

As part of this role, you’ll be responsible for: We are looking for someone who is able to work on a variety of projects, from small renovations to larger construction projects. You should have good knowledge of Bricklayers erect and repair brick, pre-cut stone and concrete block structures such as walls, paving and chimney. You should also have knowledge of applying or removing grout with a trowel, Strengthening and sealing foundations with the appropriate material, usually damp-resistant materials, repairing building blocks and chimneys, refurbishing decorative stonework, measuring skills before laying bricks. Understanding and managing the quantities of material required for the job. Using tools such as hand tools, brick-cutting machines but also spirit levels and plumb lines to check building alignment.
