We are a handmade jewellery and accessories, specialising in crystals that are sourced from all around the world. The ideal candidate would have a background in sales but it’s not mandatory as training is provided. We are looking for someone with a great attitude, and somebody that likes to talk to people. Someone with an interests / knowledge in crystals and its meanings is a great advantage for this role. As the role requires you to be in charge of the shop, we need someone independent and responsible, that does not need to be micromanaged and will do what’s right for the shop. Someone that appreciate the freedom of not having someone behind him/her every minute and therefore knows how to manage himself/herself and is good with his/her hands to help me making jewellery and more. The role includes: • Run in the shop - on your own all day - so you must be able to pitch our products to them. (pitch and training provided) • Make small jewellery (full training provided!) We are looking for 3 to 5 days a week but we are flexible. We offer £60/day a great commission structure and various bonuses. No KPIs, or target to hit. Just do your best, 100% sales guarantees with the right attitude, pitch and engagement. The first 3 months should be cash in hand until the end of the 3 month probation period. Saturday Jewellers Assistant - (industry experience necessary) We are an independent jewellery design and jewellery repair company in Clapham Common. Our founder and designer needs a Saturday Assistant on an ongoing basis. You will need to have experience either working in a retail jewellers or a workshop. Ideally you will have a customer service background, be well spoken and well presented. You must be able to: Create a spreadsheet on a Mac or Windows computer (Prefer Mac) Refer to a spreadsheet Upload files Be generally confident using a computer Be proactive - if you don’t know something you can look it up without being asked Calculate custom pricing Compose a well written email High attention to detail Accurately record repair jobs Take payments Listen properly Be security conscious Be exceptionally patient Sales skills including upselling Build a relationship with customers / remember their names Have a thick skin and a cheerful disposition Put into practise company procedures Use a jewellers 10 x magnification loupe Understand the different between 9, 14 & 18kt gold as well as platinum and silver alloys Some knowledge of diamonds would be greatly appreciated Be very flexible jumping between computer work and customer interaction Multi-tasking is your middle name Be capable of a bit of banter (we are a team of Gen-X / Boomers) We have a workshop dog - bonus points if you love dogs You will be a self-starter and the kind of person who can work on their own for extended periods of time. There may be some sway to work other days now and again but Saturday is crucial.
