SC Cleared Data Warehouse Engineer - Outside IR35 - Remote Role Overview We are seeking a skilled Data Warehouse Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable data warehouse solutions within the Microsoft Azure ecosystem. The role focuses on developing robust data models, optimizing analytical queries, and supporting enterprise reporting through Azure SQL, OLAP technologies, and DAX-powered semantic models. You will collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to ensure reliable, high-performance data pipelines and analytics platforms. Key ResponsibilitiesData Warehouse Development * Design and develop enterprise data warehouse solutions using Azure SQL Database / Azure SQL Managed Instance / Azure Synapse Analytics. * Build and maintain star and snowflake schemas for analytical workloads. * Develop ETL/ELT pipelines for ingesting and transforming data from multiple source systems. * Implement data partitioning, indexing, and performance optimization strategies. Data Modeling & Analytics * Develop OLAP data models for business intelligence and reporting. * Create and optimize DAX measures, calculated columns, and KPIs. * Design semantic models for Power BI or Analysis Services. * Ensure high performance for large analytical datasets. Platform & Architecture * Work with Azure data services to design scalable data architecture. * Ensure data quality, governance, and security controls. * Support data integration with operational systems, APIs, and third-party data sources. * Implement monitoring and performance tuning for warehouse workloads. Required Skills & ExperienceTechnical Skills * Strong experience with Azure SQL (T-SQL, performance tuning, indexing, partitioning). * Experience building enterprise data warehouses. * Expertise in OLAP data modeling. * Advanced knowledge of DAX (Data Analysis Expressions). * Experience with Power BI semantic models or Azure Analysis Services / SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS). * Strong data modeling skills (star schema, dimensional modeling). Role: SAP EWM (EXTENDED WAREHOUSE MANAGEMENT) FUNCTIONAL EXPERT Remote Contract (Inside IR35) The Role This role plays a critical part in supporting S/4 HANA transformation initiatives for a leading global customer in the life sciences and pharmaceuticals domain. The consultant will contribute to high-impact projects involving warehouse management including inbound/outbound processes, strategies (put away, picking etc.) and configuring various master data like warehouse number, storage types, section, bins etc., with access to cutting-edge SAP technologies. Working alongside global teams, the role offers opportunities to influence strategic process improvements and deliver scalable solutions across diverse geographies. Your responsibilities: • Lead and support SAP EWM for the life sciences and pharmaceuticals clients, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and business requirements., • Design, configure, and optimize SAP EWM processes with a focus on inbound, outbound logistics, internal movements, handling units management, Physical inventory, bin management and warehouse master data configuration (eg, storage types, activity areas, warehouse process types)., • Integrate SAP EWM with related modules by configuring CIF, IDOC and qRFC for data exchange between SAP S/4 HANA/ECC and EWM, including integration with other SAP modules and external systems., • Design and Implement complex processes like POSC/LOSC (Process/layout -Oriented Storage Control), Wave management, Kitting and Cross-docking., • Technical Support by utilizing RF frameworks and ITS Mobile for handheld device configuration. Debug ABAP code for troubleshooting and work with developers for custom enhancements., • Lead or participate in interface development and integration projects, ensuring robust data flow between SAP and external systems., • Collaborate with global teams across multiple time zones, ensuring effective communication and timely project delivery., • Engage with business stakeholders to gather requirements, manage expectations, and drive continuous process improvements in production planning and execution. Essential skills/knowledge/experience: • Minimum 10 to15 years of hands-on experience in SAP EWM implementations and rollouts, preferably in Lifesciences and Pharmaceuticals Industries., • In-depth knowledge of SAP EWM processes , inventory management and best practices in Logisticsusing SAP EWM and integrated planning tools., • Strong expertise in ABAP code debugging and troubleshooting and S/4 HANA implementations., • Experience in integrating SAP EWM with other modules., • Hands-on experience in interface development and integration projects, including troubleshooting and monitoring., • Integration of SAP EWM with other connected systems, • Basic understanding of pharmaceuticals processes, • Prior involvement in global delivery models, with experience collaborating across IST and European time zones., • Experience in Repetitive and Discrete Manufacturing alongside Process Industries., • Ability to conduct training and workshops for business users and stakeholders., • Familiarity with SAP best practices and industry standards in life sciences or similar regulated industries.
