Job Opportunity: Graduate ESG Consultant (Data Analyst → Associate Pathway) Location London (Waterloo, UK) – Hybrid (3 days in the office per week) Start Date August / September 2026 Salary & Package Salary of up to £32,000 (depending on experience), plus employee benefits including private medical insurance, pension, life assurance (3x annual salary) About the Role This is an exciting opportunity for a graduate looking to start a career in sustainability and ESG consulting within a consultancy. This graduate programme is focused on career development through on the job training. You’ll join as a Data Analyst, supporting the delivery of ESG and sustainability projects, with a clear progression pathway into an Associate ESG Consultant role. Working alongside experienced consultants, you’ll gain hands-on experience across carbon accounting, ESG strategy, and climate-related reporting. The role combines data analysis, client interaction, and sustainability expertise, giving you exposure to real-world projects within the consultancy from day one and the opportunity to contribute to meaningful environmental impact. Job Responsibilities • Support ESG and sustainability project delivery, including:, • ESG maturity assessments, • Net-zero strategies and emissions reduction planning, • Climate risk assessments, • ESG due diligence, • Impact reporting and disclosures, • Assist in calculating carbon footprints across Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions, • Analyse sustainability data and translate findings into clear, actionable insights, • Support the preparation of reports, presentations, and client deliverables, • Engage with clients through data analysis, stakeholder interviews, and implementation support, • Conduct research on ESG frameworks, regulations, and market trends (e.g. TCFD, CSRD, EU Taxonomy), • Contribute to internal research, knowledge sharing, and thought leadership, • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support holistic sustainability solutions Requirements • Bachelor’s degree (2:1 or above) in a relevant field such as Sustainability, Environmental Science, Engineering, Geography, Data Analytics, Economics, or similar., • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work with data, • Client facing confidence., • Strong technical data background which includes excel skills (e.g. data structuring, pivot tables, lookups), python, R., • Ability to interpret data and present clear, logical insights., • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
