Family Law Solicitor / Legal Executive (NQ - 3 Year PQE) Uppermill | Competitive Salary (DOE) A well-established and highly regarded regional law firm is seeking an ambitious and driven Family Law Solicitor or Legal Executive to join its growing team based in its Uppermill office. This is an excellent opportunity to take on a ready-made caseload and play a key role in the continued development of a successful Family Department. The Role: You will manage a varied caseload of private family law matters, with a strong focus on Private Children Act proceedings and Divorce work, acting for both Applicants and Respondents. The role offers exposure to a broad range of matters, including both contentious and non-contentious work. Key Responsibilities: • Managing a caseload of private children and divorce matters from instruction through to conclusion, • Advising clients on child arrangements, parental responsibility, and associated disputes, • Handling financial matters arising from divorce, including asset division and settlements, • Dealing with unmarried couple disputes, including cohabitation breakdowns, • Drafting and advising on Pre-Nuptial and Cohabitation Agreements, • Representing clients through pre-litigation and litigation stages, including preparing documentation and liaising with counsel where required, • Maintaining strong client relationships, providing clear, practical, and empathetic legal advice, • Liaising with third parties including barristers, courts, and other professionals, • Contributing to the continued growth and success of the Family Department About You: • Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive with experience in Family Law, • Ideally NQ - 3 years PQE, although all levels of experience will be considered, • Experience handling private children and divorce matters, including financial aspects, • Strong understanding of family law processes both pre and during litigation, • Excellent communication and client care skills, • Commercially aware, proactive, and able to work both independently and as part of a team What’s on Offer • Competitive salary dependent on experience, • Company pension scheme, • Generous holiday allowance, • Additional day’s leave for your birthday, • Death in service benefit (4x salary), • Clear opportunities for career progression and development, • Supportive working environment within a well-established firm Why Apply? • Join a respected regional firm with a strong presence in the North Manchester area, • Work with an existing caseload, allowing you to hit the ground running, • Genuine opportunity to progress your career and grow within the team, • Exposure to a wide range of interesting and varied family law matters
