Junior Field Service Engineer Location: Milton Keynes (UK‑wide travel) Employment Type: Full-time Driving Licence: Required Are you looking to start or grow your career within the electrical engineering field? We're seeking a motivated Junior Field Service Engineer to join our team in Milton Keynes. This role is electrically biased and ideal for someone with an electrical background who is eager to develop hands‑on technical skills. Full training will be provided, making it an excellent opportunity for early‑career engineers. About the Role Working closely with senior engineers, you will support the installation, maintenance, and operation of monitoring systems used in critical electrical environments. This is a field-based role with extensive customer-site exposure and a strong focus on developing your technical expertise. You'll gain hands-on experience across a wide range of electrical infrastructure and industry practices while delivering outstanding service. Key Responsibilities Assist with routine service and maintenance tasks in line with electrical safety standards Support troubleshooting and help implement corrective actions Participate in installation, commissioning, and testing of electrical monitoring systems Work alongside senior engineers, contractors, and suppliers on customer sites Conduct basic testing, site surveys, and initial customer support Complete tasks such as inspections, PAT testing, calibration checks, and stock control Maintain accurate service reports, documentation, and work orders Follow all relevant electrical regulations and internal procedures What They're Looking For Qualifications & Experience Electrical engineering or electrical installation background (or working towards) 0-2 years' experience in an electrical or field‑based environment (placements/apprenticeships welcome) Understanding of electrical systems (e.g., UPS, batteries, power distribution) - desirable Strong interest in progressing within electrically focused field service work Skills & Attributes Good problem-solving ability and eagerness to learn Clear communication skills, written and verbal Strong attention to detail Proactive, reliable, and able to work both independently and as part of a team Customer‑focused mindset Other Requirements Fluent in English; additional languages are an advantage Eligibility to work in the UK Full clean UK driving licence What's on Offer Full training and ongoing development Hands‑on exposure to critical electrical systems A varied, field‑based role with travel across the UK Opportunities to develop alongside experienced engineers Supportive team environment focused on safety, quality, and growth Ready to Take the Next Step?
