    Join a Well Established Precision Engineering Company Are you an experienced CNC Turner looking for a long term opportunity with a successful and growing precision engineering company? Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit an experienced CNC Turner – Setter/Operator to join our busy machine shop. Working within a skilled engineering team, you'll manufacture high quality precision components for a range of industries including defence, rail, offshore, power generation, automotive and general engineering. The Role You'll be responsible for setting and operating Victor CNC Turning Centres using Fanuc controls, producing precision engineered components to exact customer specifications. You'll be expected to work independently, carry out your own quality checks and ensure components are manufactured safely, accurately and efficiently. Responsibilities • Set and operate Victor CNC Turning machines, • Work with Fanuc control systems, • Read and interpret engineering drawings, • Edit programmes and adjust tool offsets where required, • Carry out first-off and in-process inspection of your own work, • Deburr and fettle completed components, • Maintain high standards of quality and accuracy, • Complete manufacturing documentation using our production system, • Work within a 5S manufacturing environment, • Carry out routine machine checks and basic troubleshooting, • Maintain a safe, clean and organised working area What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who can confidently hit the ground running and has previous experience within a precision engineering environment. Essential • Minimum 3 years' CNC Turning experience, • Proven experience setting and operating CNC lathes, • Fanuc control experience, • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, • Experience working to tight tolerances, • Self-inspection using measuring equipment, • Strong attention to detail, • Ability to work independently and as part of a team Qualifications One of the following: • Engineering Apprenticeship, • NVQ, • City & Guilds, • National Technical Certificate in Engineering What We Offer • Competitive hourly rate of £15.00–£18.00 depending on experience, • Full time, permanent position, • Stable, long term employment, • Modern precision engineering environment, • Opportunity to work on a wide variety of precision components, • Supportive team environment, • Overtime opportunities (where available)
