1:1 Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) – SEN Epsom, Surrey Start Date: ASAP (subject to vetting) Contract: Flexible – Long-term, Short-term & Permanent About the Role Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to work in a 1:1 capacity within specialist SEN schools in Epsom, Surrey. This role focuses on providing individualised support to a specific student, helping them access learning, regulate emotions, and reach their full potential in a supportive and structured environment. About the Setting You will be working in welcoming, specialist SEN schools supporting pupils aged 5–18 with needs including: • Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), • Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, • Moderate to Severe Learning Difficulties (MLD/SLD), • Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN), • ADHD and behavioural needs, • Provide focused 1:1 support tailored to the student’s individual needs, • Adapt and deliver learning activities to suit ability and learning style, • Support emotional regulation and behaviour management, • Implement personalised education and behaviour plans, • Build a consistent, trusting relationship with the pupil, • Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals, • HLTA qualified (essential), • Experienced supporting pupils with SEN on a 1:1 basis, • Patient, empathetic, and resilient, • Confident leading learning activities and interventions, • Flexible and able to adapt to changing needs, • Competitive weekly pay, • Flexible working opportunities, • Specialist SEN training and CPD, • Ongoing support from your dedicated consultant Start your journey as a 1:1 HLTA today!
