Criteria for Shortlisting - About You - What We're Looking for in the Ideal Candidate: Strong literacy and numeracy skills, proven experience in building and trades repairs, ability to handle all aspects of carpentry repairs and renewals, diagnose faults, and deliver repairs 'Right First Time'. Experience with fire safety upgrades and the ability to work independently are also essential. Demonstrable experience of working in the building and trades industry, carrying out repairs and maintenance Able to demonstrate all aspects of carpentry repairs, maintenance, renewals and replacements, ranging from routine reactive repairs to major renewals and refurbishment work. Able to diagnose the causes of building faults and defects, and the most appropriate solution to be applied. Able to take account of the need to reduce repeated faults and visits, and ensure the most cost-effective solution is used under the circumstances. Able to complete all repairs "Right First Time and to a high standard of quality and craftsmanship. Must be able to work independently and unsupervised, demonstrating trust in your skills and judgment to deliver quality work. Demonstrable experience in customer service matters while working with customers in the community. Ability to formulate practical solutions to problems, given the constraints of the situation. Must be able to work at heights. Able to always ensure safe working methods and full compliance with health & safety regulations, showing your commitment to a safe working environment. Willing to update knowledge and Understanding of current standards, principles and best practices appropriate to your specialist trade.
