The Paralegal will support fee earner(s) in their handling of client matters, ensuring a pro-active and high level of client care and compliance with the National Practice Standards. Responsibilities to include: File Management Under supervision manage client matters according to NPS and ensure a high level of client care. Provide legal and administrative support to fee earner(s) on their client matters. Finance Ensure financial aspects of matters including time recording, billing and debtor management are managed to enable achievement of personal fee budget and support fee earners in the achievement of theirs. About You: Knowledge and understanding of basic legal concepts learnt from legal education such as undergraduate law, LLM, LPC, GDL or ILEX study; or equivalent work experience; or successful completion of the Paralegal Apprenticeship scheme. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite and relevant practice and business IT systems, particularly Mattersphere and Aderant. Excellent typing skills (minimum wpm 35) Relevant work experience. Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to think logically and analytically. Ability to work under pressure and prioritise work from various stakeholders. Commercially aware and highly motivated. Proactive; Good attention to detail; Excellent time management and organisational skills We are offering a salary of £21,000 - £24,000 Dependant Upon Experience

Consequently, we are seeking to expand our team with the addition of a new Solicitor or Litigation Executive. This individual should possess a robust understanding and practical experience in civil/commercial litigation and debt-related matters, adhering to the legal frameworks of England and Wales. Our department's focus encompasses a diverse range of legal issues, including but not limited to: Residential Landlord-Tenant Disputes, primarily focusing on possession proceedings as per the Housing Act 1988 and subsequent amendments. Commercial Landlord-Tenant Disputes, involving the execution of forfeiture notices under the Law of Property Act 1925. Debt Recovery Actions and Proceedings, adhering to the Civil Procedure Rules and relevant case law. Breach of Contract matters, guided by established principles under English Contract Law. General Civil and Litigation Disputes, encompassing a wide range of civil law issues. Property Litigation and Contentious Probate Matters, requiring an intricate understanding of the Property Law and Probate Law respectively. The role we seek to fill entails a variety of responsibilities, including but not limited to: Initial consultations with prospective clients and the gathering of preliminary instructions. Collaboration with the supervising team to determine fee structures, followed by communicating fee estimates to clients. Conducting legal research and formulating a case strategy post-instruction. Drafting and filing court proceedings, ensuring compliance with the relevant procedural requirements. Management of evidence and disclosure processes, in line with the Civil Procedure Rules. Navigation of court directions and ensuring adherence to judicial guidelines. Participation in marketing and business development initiatives to further the department's reach and reputation. The successful candidate will benefit from supervision by the Head of the Department and administrative support from an Administrative Assistant.
