We are looking for a Staff Accountant to join Blank Street's US Accounting function. As Staff Accountant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial health of Blank Street and supporting our Field and HQ teams. You will be responsible for a range of accounting functions including preparing monthly journal entries, supporting accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring compliance with internal controls and accounting principles. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent organizational skills, and a passion for contributing to a growing company. This role is an in-person position at our office in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. The Staff Accountant will report into the Global Accounting Manager. What You'll Own • Support the month-end close process, prepare journal entries, utilize accounting software to draft and finalize financial statements., • Support day-to-day accounting operations including processing invoices, tracking payments, and reconciling accounts. Ensure timely and accurate payments to vendors and proper recording of receivables., • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, including bank and credit card reconciliations. Post journal entries and adjustments as needed., • Assist with payroll processing, including verifying timesheets and ensuring accuracy of payroll deductions and benefits., • Support in the preparation of all tax filings; including, but not limited to income tax forms, sales tax, 1099s, and payroll taxes., • Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and ensuring compliance with accounting policies and procedures., • Work with leadership to prepare ad hoc reports and analyses as needed. Who You Are • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field., • 2-3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a retail or hospitality environment or public accounting., • CPA certification or progress towards certification preferred., • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting., • Strong understanding of tax regulations and ability to work with external preparers, • Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP system preferred., • Experience with Coupa or similar billing and invoicing accounting software., • Proficiency in Microsoft suite of products, particularly Excel (VLOOKUPS and Pivot Tables at a minimum)., • Strong ability to use logic and questioning to problem-solve and seek to understand information and data before acting., • Willingness to gain knowledge of other teams to help facilitate cross functional work., • Ability to handle delivery of multiple active tasks and responsibilities and can organize and prioritize work based on team needs., • CPA in progress / qualified highly preferred Benefits • $70,000 - 980,000 annual base salary + equity, • Medical, Dental, and Vision coverage. As a Coffee Equipment Technician, you'll own the performance and reliability of our store equipment --- diagnosing and repairing machines in-store and in our workshop while executing detailed preventive maintenance to minimize downtime. This is a full-time, field-based role that requires in-person service across various stores and at our Brooklyn repair shop. This role reports to the Specialty Equipment Service Manager. As Senior Art Director, Content, you will own the art direction of Blank Street's social and content channels. That means defining how the brand looks and feels day to day, in motion, across platforms. This is not a role for someone who just reacts to trends or executes briefs. You're here to set the bar, build a point of view, and make sure everything we publish actually feels like Blank Street. If done well, this role quietly but meaningfully changes how the brand is perceived. What You'll Own • Pushing the work forward creatively while protecting the integrity of the brand., • The art direction and visual standards of Blank Street's social and content channels., • The creative direction, feedback, and development of the content team., • The evolution of our social look and feel into a coherent, scalable system., • Insights, reporting, and creative reviews that inform what we make next., • Creative partnership with producers, creators, and marketers to deliver work that feels intentional and elevated. Who We're Looking For • Strong taste and a clear, defensible creative POV., • Proven experience leading and developing creative teams., • Deep understanding of social as a creative medium, not just a marketing channel., • Comfortable owning insights and performance reporting and translating them into creative direction., • High standards for craft, clarity, and how work lands in the world. Requirements • 7--10+ years of experience in art direction, content, or brand creative roles, with clear ownership of social or digital content., • Demonstrated experience leading and developing creative teams, not just managing projects., • Strong portfolio showing a consistent visual POV, high craft, and social-first thinking.
