Retail Store Manager – Clothing Boutique (Bay Ridge, Brooklyn) Position Overview We are seeking an experienced and motivated Retail Store Manager to oversee daily operations of a chic young women's clothing boutique located in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn. The ideal candidate is hands-on, highly organized, and passionate about fashion, customer service, and delivering an exceptional in-store experience. This is a full-time role (approximately 40 hours per week) responsible for managing store operations, staff support, inventory control, vendor coordination, and ensuring smooth opening and closing procedures. Key Responsibilities Store Operations • Oversee day-to-day boutique operations to ensure smooth and efficient workflow, • Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing store environment, • Ensure high standards of customer service at all times Opening & Closing Duties • Open and close the store according to established procedures, • Ensure cash drawers are balanced at the start and end of each shift, • Secure the store, including alarm systems, lighting, and locking procedures, • Complete daily opening/closing checklists and reports Sales & Register Management • Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system as needed, • Handle cash, credit card, and digital transactions accurately, • Support staff with register procedures and troubleshooting during shifts, • Ensure accurate daily sales reporting Inventory & Merchandising • Monitor inventory levels and assist with restocking merchandise, • Conduct regular inventory counts and assist with audits, • Identify low-stock items and coordinate reorders, • Support visual merchandising and product placement to maximize sales Vendor & Ordering Management • Communicate with vendors regarding product orders, deliveries, and returns, • Place purchase orders and track incoming shipments, • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, • Ensure timely replenishment of boutique merchandise Team Support & Leadership • Assist in training and supporting sales associates, • Provide direction and leadership during shifts, • Foster a positive, team-oriented work environment, • Support scheduling and shift coverage as needed Qualifications • 2+ years of retail management experience (boutique or fashion retail preferred), • Strong leadership and communication skills, • Experience with POS systems and cash handling, • Inventory management and ordering experience preferred, • Highly organized with strong attention to detail, • Ability to work independently and take initiative, • Flexible availability, including weekends as needed Compensation & Schedule • Full-time position (approximately 40 hours per week), • Competitive hourly/salary based on experience, • Opportunity for growth within a growing boutique brand

On-the-ground NSO duties • Place, receive, and unbox initial product and supply orders for new locations., • Receive, install, and calibrate small service equipment under the direction of the Senior NSO Associate., • Stage bar equipment and workflow layouts in alignment with Blank Street standards., • Conduct stress test days and full equipment test runs to confirm a new location is ready for bump-in., • Support store and equipment test days, flagging issues and coordinating resolutions in real time., • Liaise with external contractors for basic service and equipment coordination including internet, espresso machine installation, and miscellaneous construction needs., • Support build-out of store location wiki pages for incoming field teams., • Assist with DOH compliance walkthroughs and ops team check-ins ahead of opening., • Work closely with IT and Coffee Equipment teams to verify front and back end infrastructure is correctly set up and tested. Logistics & storage • Transport equipment and smallwares to and from our storage facility and between new location builds as needed — including loading, unloading, and organized staging., • Support the ongoing maintenance and inventory management of our equipment and smallware storage facility., • Track inventory levels and flag shortfalls or discrepancies to the Senior NSO Associate ahead of upcoming openings., • Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe storage facility environment at all times. Supporting operations beyond NSOs • Assist with seasonal smallware and equipment transitions, coordinating cross-functionally to ensure seamless rollouts., • Support store closure projects and equipment recovery as directed., • Pitch in on facilities needs when the NSO schedule allows., • Help review and organize vendor invoices and receipts for approval and submission to the finance team.
