Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Personal Injury Paralegal to support our attorneys in managing a high-volume caseload. Key Responsibilities • Manage personal injury cases from intake through settlement or trial preparation., • Conduct client intakes and maintain regular communication to provide updates and gather documentation., • Draft and file pleadings, discovery demands, bills of particulars, and motions., • Request, review, and summarize medical records and police reports., • Schedule depositions, IMEs (Independent Medical Examinations), and court appearances., • Prepare settlement packages and assist with negotiations and disbursements., • Maintain accurate case files and monitor critical deadlines., • Assist attorneys in trial preparation as needed. Must be proactive and have excellent organizational, scheduling and calendaring skills. This is a fast-paced environment so ability to prioritize is a must. The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of federal and state statutes, rules, and procedures pertaining to electronic court filings and systems (NYSCEF). Responsibilities include: Drafting of routine court documents such as Notices of Appearances, Pro Hac Vice Motions, Notices of Motions, Subpoenas, Stipulations and other general court documents. Compile and/or draft legal documents for review and use by attorneys such as routine discovery responses and affidavits. E-File documents via NYSCEF and PACER. Prepares exhibits and other demonstrative evidence. Organize, analyze, chart and/or index, claim information, documents and/or exhibits for motion practice. May assist attorneys in preparation of materials for witnesses for deposition and/or trial concerning general matters. Review documents for relevance and privilege in preparation for disclosure. Review, categorize and analyze reports, records, data and discovery responses. Capture and record billable time in accordance with policies and procedures.
