Job DescriptionTITLE: HR MANAGERLOCATION: EDISON, NJ The Human Resources Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of the employment lifecycle of Company X’s plant full-time, year-round staff and seasonal employees. Hours are 6am -3:30pm and some Saturday mornings may be required as needed.Responsibilities include: Employee Relations • Address and resolve employee issues in correlation to Company Policy and Procedures, • Liaise with legal counsel to discuss HR-related issues, as needed, • Handle discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy., • Ensure compliance with State and Federal Employment lawRecruitment & Training, • Manage the hiring process, including advertising open positions, reviewing resumes, coordinating and conducting interviews, creating offer letters, reference and background checks, • Managing the on-boarding process for new employees, • Train new and temporary hires on GMP; conduct annual HR Trainings as neededHR Administration, • Create and maintain personnel and benefits files ensuring security and confidentiality, • Administer employee benefits; Manage all aspects of annual open enrollment for health benefits., • Administer employee health, retirement plans, which include 401K retirement plan, medical/dental insurance, short and long-term disability insurance, workers compensation, leaves of absence., • Provides resolution of human resources, compensation, and benefit questions, concerns, and issues., • Enforce established payroll related policies and procedures., • Ensure compliance with employment laws, benefits, insurance, safety, and other laws, regulations, and requirements, • Complete and submit paperwork to external agencies for compensation claims, unemployment claims, verification of employment and more Oversee the annual employee review process; Maintain employee performance documentation, • Track temporary and regular employee attendance sheets with supervisors., • Place orders for temporary employees and verify their attendance, • Maintain OSHA files, • Secure and administer I-9 forms for all employees, • Performs other related duties as assigned. Qualifications:, • Highly detail-oriented, able to work independently, multi-task, enjoy interfacing with other staff at all levels, excellent skills in verbal and written communication,, • Bachelor’s degree in human resource management, business, communications or other related discipline, • Familiarity with NJ State and Federal labor laws,, • 5 years of Manufacturing HR Experience, • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software., • Current human resources and/or compensation credentials or certification preferred.Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times, walk unassisted in a plant environment recognizing GMP and hygiene standards.
