Job Details

A Bar Manager oversees daily bar operations, focusing on staff management, inventory control, and maximizing sales, reporting to General Manager about bar. Key responsibilities include hiring and training staff, designing cocktail menus, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. They are responsible for driving revenue and maintaining profitability. 
Key Responsibilities

  • Staff Leadership: Train, schedule, and supervise bartenders and barbacks to ensure high-quality service.
  • Inventory & Purchasing: Maintain stock levels, order liquor/supplies, and manage vendor relationships to minimize costs.
  • Menu Engineering: Create and update cocktail, wine, and beer menus to drive sales and trends.
  • Operations & Compliance: Ensure compliance with alcohol regulations (RBS), maintain cleanliness standards, and manage cash handling.
  • Financial Performance: Manage budgets, track sales, and optimize costs to increase profitability. 

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience: Proven experience as a bartender on a very busy bar or in a managerial role within the hospitality industry.
  • Leadership: Strong communication, team-building, and conflict-resolution abilities.
  • Knowledge: Deep knowledge of mixology, beverage trends, and POS systems.
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy items. 

Common Requirements

  • High School Diploma; a degree in hospitality is preferred.
  • Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays


Compensation Details

Compensation: Hourly ($19.00 - $22.00)
