Duties
Efficiently wash, sanitize, and organize dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment to ensure cleanliness and safety standards are met.
Assist in basic food preparation tasks such as chopping vegetables, assembling ingredients, and portioning items for service.
Support the kitchen team by maintaining an orderly workspace, restocking supplies, and managing waste disposal.
Follow food safety protocols diligently to prevent contamination and ensure compliance with health regulations.
Help with meal prep activities including ingredient handling, portioning, and basic cooking under supervision.
Aid in setting up serving stations and catering events by preparing ingredients and assisting with presentation.
Collaborate with culinary staff to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy service times.
Skills
Prior experience in NYC restaurants is required
Strong background in food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen safety practices.
Excellent knife skills for efficient ingredient prep and food handling.
Experience in food service environments such as restaurants or catering settings demonstrating adaptability and teamwork.
Knowledge of food safety standards including proper sanitation, storage, and cross-contamination prevention.
Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
