Machine Technician – Job Profile and Description Architectural Grille, a Division of Giumenta Corporation, located at 42 Second Avenue, Brooklyn, NY, 11215 is a family-owned and operated manufacturing company that has been in business since 1945. We are currently seeking to add a member to our growing team. The hours will be either 6:30AM – 3:00PM or 9:00AM – 5:30PM. This hands-on position will be responsible for maintenance and preventive maintenance, including all machinery, equipment, and operating systems such as controls, electrical troubleshooting, and any other issues pertaining to plant production. Duties and Responsibilities · Opening or closing the facility and associated properties · Working with the Facility Maintenance Manager · Supervise staff in the Maintenance department · Assist in the repair and installation of plant machinery · Assist with hands-on daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly preventive maintenance and repair for all machinery, equipment, and tooling · Performing daily tasks including troubleshooting and repairing machinery and operating systems to ensure the smooth running of the facility · Operating a fork-lift, scissor jack, and other machinery in the moving of material or equipment · Submitting appropriate reports to the management team · Performing other duties requested by the Facilities Maintenance Manager & Factory Manager Qualifications/Requirements: · Prior experience with industrial manufacturing equipment is preferred · Ability to work independently and as a team member · Experience with overseeing staff · Possess strong: o Interpersonal and communication skills o Time management · Possess the ability to: o Pay attention to detail o Read machine and electrical schematics o Read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and other manuals and documents o Problem-solve machine issues and think outside of the box o Work outside of normal work hours, including weekends if needed · Must be: o Flexible o Neat and organized · Possess experience in: o Repair methods and maintenance practices for structures and equipment o Work safety practices o Mechanical systems including relevant equipment and tools o Knowledge of production machinery and techniques · Ability to be proactive, not reactive in fulfilling maintenance and repair responsibilities · Demonstrates a desire for continuous improvement and not waiting for something to go wrong Americans with Disabilities Specifications: The physical demands described herein are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Who You Are:: We are seeking a full-time Porter with the ability to maintain the cleanliness and hygiene standards of our facility. The Facility Cleaner will play a vital role in ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for employees, clients, and visitors. Attention to detail and efficient cleaning skills will contribute to the overall well-being and positive impression of our organization. What You'll Do:: Duties/Responsibilities: Clean, maintain, and organize all rooms throughout the facility (common areas, storage areas, and closets). Clean and maintain the sidewalks, parking lot, and outside tenant areas of the building. Clean, service, and disinfect the locker rooms and all restrooms, including the sinks. Clean, service, and disinfect the kitchen, including the sink, refrigerator, microwave oven, and cabinets. Replenish consumable items throughout the factory complex, such as soap, toilet rolls, and urinal deodorant tabs. Sweep, mop, scrub, and or vacuum all floors, and carpets, and spot clean when needed. Clean all windows, glass partitions, and lighting fixtures. Dust and wipe equipment/machines, ledges, windows sills, and external cabinets. Empty the factory restroom & kitchen waste bins into plastic trash bags to be sealed and recycle cardboard scraps. Identify and report areas/items in need of repairs to the supervisor. Because we are positioned for rapid growth, we are currently seeking another valuable team member for the Entry-Level position of Bindery Operator. Candidates must have professional values that align with our philosophy of providing only the absolute best products and services to those whom we serve. The roles and responsibilities of the Entry-Level Bindery Operator position include sorting, drilling, padding, and folding materials to produce finished print products. Because most of the work is done by machine, the Entry-Level Bindery Operator will work with scoring/creasing, stitching, drilling, and binding machines. Attention to detail is a requirement for this position! Also, time management skills and the ability to prioritize are “musts,” as many projects may be scheduled simultaneously and be in the production stage at the same time. If a problem arises, the Entry-Level Bindery Operator must be able to communicate the issue to the print production leaders. REQUIREMENTS - Bindery experience: 1-3 years - English communication skills: Ability to follow written and verbal instructions - Detail-focused - Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced, evolving environment - Authorization to work legally in the United States - Valid US driver’s license (preferably NJ or NYC) QUALIFICATIONS General knowledge of folding, stitching, and coil binding machines. Ability to read and interpret written and verbal work orders or other job specifications containing bindery requirements that indicate the number and sequence of machine operations required to complete the work and to maintain dimensional accuracy in accordance with provided instructions.
