The Sushi Chef is a self-starter and team player with leadership qualities who thrives in a fast-paced, growing environment and can handle a high volume of orders. Requirements: - Ability to follow exact recipe ingredients and procedures for all items from Sushi production, including but not limited to Maki, Temaki, Nigiri, Sashimi, Poke, and Crudo. - Ability to perform a variety of fish fabrication techniques - Ability to maintain the highest standards of Food Safety and Sanitation practices with attention to detail - Cutting, chopping, slicing, and fileting different types of produce/proteins (especially different types of fish) - Skills, Abilities, and Experience: - 3+ years of work in a Sushi restaurant - Ability to prepare fish (fishmonger, fish butchery). - Previous New York restaurant experience is plus but not mandatory. Maintaining a clean and organized kitchen: The prep cook is responsible for keeping the kitchen area clean, organized, and well-stocked with ingredients and supplies. 5. Assisting in food preparation: The prep cook may assist the chefs and other cooks in the kitchen by preparing simple dishes, sauces, and dressings. 6. Operating kitchen equipment: The prep cook may use kitchen equipment such as mixers, blenders, and slicers. Full job description Work Schedule: Monday - Friday; 8am - 5pm Job Summary: Responsible for preparing center meals, establishing menu, and determining quantities of food needed. Promotes an environment of customer service, hospitality, and student satisfaction. Duties/Responsibilities: · Must create and sustain positive working relationships with co-workers. · Adheres to all PRH and CSDC policies and procedures, and the Center Operating Procedures. · Ensures that all food handling, food storage, and area cleanliness complies with all state, local, and company codes and standards. · Prepares daily center meals and ensures that they are ready to serve according to schedule. · Ensures meals are wholesome and appetizing. · Maintains inventory of foodstuffs and requests additional food as necessary. · Assists in preparing weekly and monthly food service reports. · Assists in cleaning and maintaining kitchen and dining areas. · Maintains daily record of food costs and amount of food used. · Assists in serving meals. · Reports on unsafe of unsanitary conditions in the kitchen/dining area. · Checks morning report daily to gage amount of food that needs to be prepared. · Ensure leftover foods are properly covered, stored, and date and time clearly marked. · Directs work of students who are assigned. · Keeps accountability of all knives during shift. · Attends staff training sessions as required. · Performs other duties as assigned. Position Summary: As a Line Leader, you will be an ambassador of Mighty Quinn’s BBQ. You will be an integral part of creating exciting and rewarding guest experiences through positive face-to-face interactions. You will report directly to the General Manager and work with other team members in a clean, safe, and respectful manner. You will be responsible for the general oversight of service on a day-to-day basis, as it relates to both food preparation and quality customer service. You will also assist other Front-of-House employees with all tasks necessary to execute successful service while upholding all company safety and food quality standards and procedures. *While Line Leaders are customarily our more experienced FOH employees, they do not directly supervise or manage any other FOH employees.
