The River Palm Terrace in Edgewater NJ, is seeking an experianced Sous Chef to work along side our Executive chef and lead our team
Duties:

  • Oversee all aspects of food production and kitchen operations
  • Develop and implement menu plans, ensuring variety and quality of food offerings
  • Manage kitchen staff, including hiring and training.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the kitchen
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization in the kitchen

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a leadership role in the hospitality or food service industry
  • Strong knowledge of food production techniques and kitchen management principles
  • Excellent menu planning skills, with a focus on creativity and customer preferences
  • Ability to effectively supervise and motivate a team of kitchen staff
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a kitchen environment
