The Assistant Director, Events is responsible for leading and managing a portfolio of events in Frederick P. Rose Hall, Dizzy’s Club, private residences, and other venues in support of the Jazz at Lincoln Center Development team. Management includes internal and external communications, drafting and sending invitations, tracking RSVPs, and updating donor records. They are responsible for planning and executing cultivation events in close coordination with multiple stakeholders across the organization. The Assistant Director also works closely with and supports the Director of Events on the annual Gala and other major cultivation events. They interact directly with Jazz at Lincoln Center senior leadership, members of the Board of Directors, and other important donors. Responsibilities • Partner and collaborate with the Director of Events and other Development team members to plan and successfully execute 30+ events annually, managing a portfolio of events and overseeing the Events Manager’s portfolio as well., • Strategize on different fundraising approaches for the Gala to successfully hit the $3M fundraising goal and support the Director of Events on all planning and execution., • Build the primary event calendar each season for all Development-related events and work with the Events Manager to maintain and update all ancillary timelines., • Manage internal communications and tracking for collateral, RSVPs, catering, and production needs with colleagues across the institution including Concerts & Touring, Brand, Sales & Marketing, Frederick P.
