Senior / Lead Low-Voltage Systems Technician
Broad Shield Security Inc. is seeking an experienced Senior / Lead Low-Voltage Systems Technician to join our team in Yonkers, NY.
We are looking for a dependable, knowledgeable technician who can take the lead on commercial low-voltage projects, troubleshoot systems, make decisions in the field, and help guide less-experienced technicians.
Responsibilities:

  • Install, service, troubleshoot, test, and maintain low-voltage systems
  • Work with CCTV and IP camera systems
  • Install and service access control systems
  • Install and troubleshoot burglar alarm systems
  • Work with fire alarm systems
  • Perform structured cabling and networking installations
  • Program and configure security equipment
  • Read scopes of work, drawings, and project requirements
  • Troubleshoot system and installation issues independently
  • Lead technicians and coordinate work on job sites
  • Communicate professionally with customers, project managers, and office staff
  • Complete commercial installations from start to finish
  • Maintain clean, organized, and professional job sites

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 7 years of low-voltage experience
  • 10+ years of experience preferred
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Experience programming and configuring low-voltage/security systems
  • Must be comfortable leading projects and directing other technicians
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Must be dependable and able to travel to job sites
  • Ability to work occasional evenings, nights, or after-hours projects when required
  • OSHA 30, NICET, FDNY, manufacturer certifications, and other industry certifications are a plus, but are not required
