Supports the teams in meeting financial, clinical and service goals. Schedule: A 40-hour work week Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm. Rotating Saturdays from 8:30 am to 1:00pm. The schedule to be determined by the supervisor upon hire. Location: 90 South Bedford Road, Floor One, Mount Kisco, NY 10549 Primary Responsibilities: • Obtain accurate and updated patient information, such as name, address, insurance information, • Perform insurance verification on the date of service, • Obtain patient signatures for required documents, • File, Fax and maintain medical records,, • Confirms and schedule appointments, • Ability to maintain a work queue list- complete any pending actions ie referrals, scheduling appointments, • Answering incoming and outgoing telephone calls promptly and courteously, • Follow the Payment Security policy and procedures according to Optum Medical guidelines, • Perform referral documentation promptly, • Performs certain follow-up services for patients in a prompt and courteous manner, such as scheduling specialist appointments, • Adhere to the standards identified via Sparq regarding Optum Employee Policies, • Work cohesively with fellow employees to achieve specific team goals, • Comfortable working in high pace environment, • Assure the continuity of care through scheduling and tracking systems, • Provide effective communication to patient / family team members and other health care professionals as evidenced by documentation, case conferences, communication notes, and evaluations, • Comply with administrative policies to ensure quality of care, • Demonstrate precision and efficiency in scanning documents and monitoring the fax server, retrieving and / or scanning documents and assigning to the appropriate electronic chart, • All employees are expected to keep abreast on current medical requirements relevant to their position, which includes maintaining patient confidentiality and abiding by all HIPAA and OSHA requirements, • Crosstrain and help in other locations if needed, • Performs other duties as assigned What are the reasons to consider working for UnitedHealth Group? St. Vincent’s Behavioral Health Center in Westport is a 76-bed inpatient psychiatric facility specializing in care for children, adolescents, and adults with mental health and dual diagnosis substance use disorders. St. Vincent’s Medical Center is the first hospital in Fairfield County to be integrated into the Hartford HealthCare network, and part of one of the largest providers of mental health services at several locations in Connecticut. Job Summary: Provides temporary practice, pending results of the licensing examination for a period not to exceed 90 calendar days after the date of graduation. This temporary practice privilege automatically ceases upon notification that the graduate nurse has failed the licensure examination or once the 90 calendar days after the date of graduation has past and required licensing is still pending. Provides holistic, quality and cost-effective nursing care for patients/families and/or others for a patient population within a unit, service or other primary area of practice with an awareness of the episode of care. Applies the nursing process within the context of the organization's Framework for Professional Practice. Practices under the supervision of a licensed Registered Nurse. Reports to Unit Manager. • Graduate of an accredited Nursing program. Minimum Associate degree, Bachelor’s preferred.
